Na bijna twee jaar uitstel is ICO in Zeebrugge begonnen met de bouw van wat Europa's eerste volledig geautomatiseerde parkeersysteem met meerdere niveaus voor afgewerkte voertuigen zal worden. Dit project van meer dan \u20ac 50 miljoen markeert een nieuw hoofdstuk voor de automobiellogistiek van het continent, ICO's Japanse moederbedrijf NYK aangekondigd<\/a>.<\/p>

De installatie, een samenwerking tussen ICO en de Belgische partners Stow Group en Ceratec, zal ongeveer 44 meter hoog worden en plaats bieden aan ongeveer 10.000 auto's. Het verkrijgen van het offici\u00eble groene licht duurde bijna 2 jaar vanwege vergunningsprocedures en een koerswijziging in het conceptontwerp.<\/p>
