In vier op de tien gevallen blijven deze symptomen zelfs tien jaar later nog bestaan. Tot die conclusie kwam het Vlaamse verkeersveiligheidsinstituut Vias na een enqu\u00eate bij een vijftigtal verkeersslachtoffers en evenveel familieleden. Dat gebeurde in het kader van de Internationale Herdenkingsdag voor Verkeersslachtoffers afgelopen zondag.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Volgens Vias blijkt uit de resultaten van het onderzoek duidelijk dat verkeersongevallen een aanzienlijke invloed hebben op het psychisch welzijn van alle betrokkenen. De gevolgen blijven nog vele jaren na het ongeval hun stempel drukken op het leven van verkeersslachtoffers en hun families.
