De drie Belgische gewesten lanceren 'Life Cycle Impact', een allesomvattende milieuscore voor auto\u2019s, waarbij modellen onderling worden vergeleken op basis van hun totale impact gedurende de hele levenscyclus. Het is een uitbreiding van de bekende Ecoscore en vat in \u00e9\u00e9n cijfer de impact samen van de productie, de brandstofproductie en het gebruik over een afstand van 200.000 km.<\/p>

De score, ontwikkeld door het onderzoekscentrum Vito en de VUB-universiteit, streeft naar een bredere kijk dan alleen op klimaateffecten en probeert ook effecten op de menselijke gezondheid en verschillende ecosystemen mee te nemen.
