Vorig jaar telde Brussel Mobiliteit ongeveer 12% meer fietsers op de fietspaden in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest. De stijging is het grootst op weekdagen met +13%, wat daalt tot +7% in het weekend. Ondertussen wachten fietsers en e-scooterrijders ook met spanning op het verbod op fietsen en e-scooters in de voetgangerszone Anspachlaan\/Boulevard Anspach, dat nog op politieke goedkeuring wacht.<\/p>

De evolutie varieert ook naargelang het uur van de dag, aldus het persagentschap Belga op basis van de cijfers die het heeft opgevraagd. Tussen 6u en 7u was er een jaarlijkse toename van 15%, en tussen 7u en 9u een toename van 12%. Rond het middaguur daalt de groei tot ongeveer 9%, maar tijdens de avondspits, tussen 15.00 en 19.00 uur, stijgt deze weer tot ongeveer 12%.<\/p>
