In 2025 heeft de FOD Financi\u00ebn in Belgi\u00eb 646,4 miljoen euro aan boetes ge\u00efnd. Dit betekent een stijging van 22,4 miljoen euro ten opzichte van 2024. Verkeersovertredingen vormen het grootste deel van deze gevallen. De stijging is te danken aan een effici\u00ebntere inning, maar ook aan tariefverhogingen en de explosieve toename van het aantal camera's langs de Belgische wegen.<\/p>

Het meeste geld komt uit de directe inning, dat is het bedrag dat een overtreder kan betalen wanneer de politie een boete uitdeelt voor bijvoorbeeld een verkeersovertreding. Vorig jaar was dit 414,9 miljoen euro, vergeleken met 400,7 miljoen in 2024.<\/p>
