Voor 2026 kunnen twee grote fabrikanten, Toyota en Stellantis, zich echter terugtrekken uit deze pool, twee van Tesla's grootste financi\u00eble bijdragers aan deze regeling.<\/p>\n<p>Op EU-niveau kunnen fabrikanten zich aansluiten bij zogenaamde CO\u2082-pools om hun anders afzonderlijke wagenparken samen te voegen tot \u00e9\u00e9n grote vloot met het oog op de CO\u2082-regelgeving. Hierdoor kunnen fabrikanten met een hoog aandeel elektrische voertuigen (EV's) hun CO\u2082-besparingen compenseren met de vloten van fabrikanten die hun CO\u2082-doelstellingen nog niet hebben gehaald.<\/p>\n<p>Door dit te doen, kunnen fabrikanten boetes van de EU vermijden, hoewel ze meestal moeten betalen om lid te worden van de groep. Deze betalingen zijn echter meestal aanzienlijk lager dan de boetes die door de EU worden opgelegd. Definitieve cijfers voor 2025 zijn nog niet beschikbaar; alleen voorlopige berekeningen van experts zoals Dataforce en de ICCT zijn bekend.<\/p>\n<p>Hoewel de definitieve waarden enigszins kunnen afwijken van deze prognoses, is er een duidelijke trend zichtbaar in het geval van de \u2018Tesla-pool\u2019: alleen Tesla, als pure EV-fabrikant, en Stellantis\u2019 partner Leapmotor (die bijna uitsluitend batterij-elektrische voertuigen (BEV's) produceert, en enkele EREV's of EV's met groter bereik) zitten aanzienlijk onder de streefcijfers.<\/p>\n<p>Poolpartners zoals Subaru, Suzuki, Mazda en Honda halen hun CO\u2082-doelstellingen ruim niet. Ford en Stellantis komen in de buurt, terwijl Toyota zijn CO\u2082-doelstelling van 96,3 gram per kilometer naar verwachting bijna precies zal halen.<\/p>\n<h4>\u2018Tesla-pool\u2019 in 2026<\/h4>\n<p>Deze waarschijnlijke resultaten voor 2025 en de interne planning voor het lopende jaar hebben nu geleid tot twee belangrijke beslissingen. Zoals automotive analist Matthias Schmidt (Schmidt Automotive Research) meldt, zullen zowel Toyota als Stellantis (samen met Leapmotor) in 2026 geen deel meer uitmaken van de \u2018Tesla Pool\u2019. In een EU-document worden Tesla, Ford, Honda Motor, Mazda Motor en Suzuki genoemd als de overgebleven leden.<\/p>\n<p>Zonder offici\u00eble verklaringen van de bedrijven zijn de exacte redenen nog niet duidelijk. In het geval van Toyota gelooft het Europese hoofdkantoor waarschijnlijk dat het de CO\u2082-doelstellingen in de toekomst zelfstandig kan halen. Toyota heeft jarenlang een hoog percentage hybride auto's in zijn wagenpark in de EU gehad en heeft nog maar weinig modellen met een hoge uitstoot.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast zal het aandeel van batterij-elektrische voertuigen in de verkoop van Toyota naar verwachting stijgen, omdat het modellengamma naar beneden wordt uitgebreid met de nieuwe Urban Cruiser en EV's zoals de onlangs vernieuwde bZ4X eindelijk van de grond komen op de markt.<\/p>\n<h4>Schrikkelmotor<\/h4>\n<p>Hoewel Stellantis zijn CO\u2082-doelstelling met iets meer dan zes gram per kilometer heeft gemist in de prognose van Dataforce voor 2025, zou het een pool kunnen vormen met zijn dochteronderneming Leapmotor.<\/p>\n<p>Met de recente strategische verschuiving van Stellantis in de richting van een \u2019baken van keuzevrijheid\u2018 en de herintroductie van eerder uitgefaseerde dieselmotoren in Europese modellen, blijft het echter onduidelijk hoe de CO\u2082-uitstoot zich in 2026 zal ontwikkelen. Dit zou Stellantis in staat kunnen stellen om zijn eigen EV's betaalbaarder en technisch concurrerender te maken.<\/p>\n<p>CO\u2082-pools moeten altijd voor 1 december van het lopende jaar worden afgerond. Toyota en Stellantis hebben nog tijd om de marktontwikkelingen in 2026 te volgen en mogelijk opnieuw deel te nemen aan de \u2018Tesla Pool\u2019.<\/p>\n<h4>Impact voor Tesla<\/h4>\n<p>De impact van de CO\u2082-regelgeving op de inkomsten van Tesla kan nog niet nauwkeurig worden ingeschat. Tesla heeft in zijn financi\u00eble verslagen al gewezen op het afnemende belang van CO\u2082-gerelateerde inkomsten wereldwijd, maar twee belangrijke bijdragers in de EU kunnen dit jaar wegvallen. Maar de definitieve beslissing wordt pas begin december genomen.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Q-E3F\">Ondertussen verlaagt de VS door de deregulering van zijn milieudoelstellingen ook de inkomsten uit wettelijke kredieten voor Tesla, dat hier traditioneel het meest van profiteerde. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Q-E3F\">Tesla wees in zijn laatste financi\u00eble samenvatting op de lagere reguleringskredieten als tegenwind voor de winst en inkomsten in 2025, maar in 2026 wordt het waarschijnlijk nog erger voor het Amerikaanse merk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In 2024 verdiende Tesla wereldwijd een recordbedrag van $2,76 miljard aan de verkoop van wettelijke kredieten. In 2025 daalde dat cijfer met 28% tot ruwweg $2 miljard, en het traject blijft naar beneden gaan.
