Volkswagen brengt aanzienlijke facelifts uit voor zijn bestaande MEB-modellen. Nu haalt de autofabrikant uit Wolfsburg ook de opvolger van de ID.3, zijn eerste ID.-model, uit de schaduw, al is het maar een klein beetje.<\/p>\n

De wereldpremi\u00e8re vindt medio april plaats onder de nieuwe naam ID.3 Neo en met nieuwe functies. Het bedrijf houdt zich stil over mogelijke veranderingen in de aandrijflijntechnologie.<\/p>\n

De details van de aanstaande wijzigingen aan de ID.3 en andere VW-modellen worden langzaam maar zeker bekend. Na de facelift krijgt de ID.3 de naam ID.3 Neo, in plaats van de eerder gespeculeerde ID. Golf. Ondertussen geven mediaberichten aan dat de ID.4 zal worden omgedoopt tot de ID. Tiguan, terwijl de ID.5 naar verwachting uit productie wordt genomen.<\/p>\n

De updates van de VW ID.3, VW ID.4\/ID.5 en hun zakelijke broers en zussen gaan verder dan esthetiek en software en omvatten ook verbeteringen aan de aandrijflijn.<\/p>\n

Volkswagen's laatste aankondiging gaat hier (nog) niet op in voor de ID.3, maar wel voor de ID.4\/ID.5: \u201cPure instapmodellen zijn uitgerust met de APP 350, een nieuwe 140 kW\/190 pk aandrijving die een hoger koppel biedt (350 in plaats van 310 Nm) en een lager brandstofverbruik in vergelijking met de vorige APP 310 motoren.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hierdoor kan de actieradius van de ID. 4 bijvoorbeeld tot 40 km (WLTP) worden vergroot. In combinatie met een nieuwe lithium-ijzer-fosfaat (LFP) hoogspanningsbatterij (58 kWh netto) is dit een indrukwekkend pakket dat robuust en zeer effici\u00ebnt is,\u2019 aldus het bedrijf.<\/p>\n

Het is al maanden bekend dat de elektrische SUV zou overstappen op het opgewaardeerde MEB+ platform en daarbij een nieuwe instapmotor zou krijgen en, in de basisversie, een nieuwe batterij met een meer rendabele LFP-celchemie. Verdere details zijn onder andere de vervanging van de portiergreepuitsparingen door klassieke trekgrepen.<\/p>\n

Verstoppertje spelen<\/h4>\n

Op dit moment heeft VW nog niet bevestigd of de ID.3 in zijn instapversie ook zal overstappen op LFP-cellen, maar dat is vrij onvermijdelijk. Volkswagen's dochter Cupra onthulde vorige week haar Born facelift, een VW ID.3 broer en zus, compleet met onthullende technische gegevens.<\/p>\n

De Born blijft drie motor-batterijconfiguraties aanbieden: 58 kWh in de basisversie en 79 kWh voor een groter bereik, met een 170 kW aandrijflijn met achterwielaandrijving of een 240 kW aandrijflijn.<\/p>\n

Het meest interessante aspect van de Cupra facelift is de derde variant met een 58 kWh batterij en 140 kW vermogen, die de vorige 150 kW versie vervangt. Dit wijst er sterk op dat Cupra de nieuwe LFP-batterij van het MEB+ platform introduceert, maar deze nog niet onder de aandacht wil brengen.<\/p>\n

VW-partner Ford heeft dat daarentegen al gedaan, commentaar op de wijzigingen in de standaard Explorer<\/a> (op hetzelfde MEB+ platform) en heeft het over een LFP batterij en de APP 350 motor met 140 kW.<\/p>\n

Cupra's terughoudendheid om deze belangrijke verandering vorige week te benadrukken, suggereert dat het merk de communicatie wil overlaten aan een andere groepsmaatschappij. Volkswagen heeft echter nog geen vervolg gegeven, waardoor de details van de aandrijflijn van de ID.3 Neo voorlopig onduidelijk blijven.<\/p>\n

Andere verbeteringen<\/h4>\n

In de laatste aankondiging benadrukt Volkswagen functies zoals het eerder genoemde One-Pedal Driving en de nieuwe V2L-functie (Vehicle-to-Load). Na de facelift zullen de nieuwe generatie ID.-modellen Vehicle-to-Load ondersteunen, waardoor externe apparaten kunnen worden gevoed met maximaal 3,6 kW. Het is ook al bekend dat alle toekomstige ID. modellen opnieuw stuurwielbedieningsknoppen zullen introduceren. De ID.3 Neo is daarop geen uitzondering.<\/p>\n

De persafdeling van Volkswagen benadrukt ook een optionele digitale autosleutel en nieuwe infotainmentdetails: \u201cEr is ook een nieuwe app store ge\u00efntegreerd in de In-Car Shop van het nieuwe infotainmentsysteem, waarmee functies en diensten digitaal, flexibel en voertuigspecifiek kunnen worden geactiveerd of uitgebreid,\u201d luidt de verklaring.
