Trova, een Belgische start-up gevestigd in Lommel, probeert investeerders aan te trekken om haar retrofit-activiteiten, waarbij gebruikte dieseltrucks worden omgebouwd tot elektrische voertuigen, uit te breiden.<\/p>\n

Volgens CEO Jan Bracke is het nu tijd, omdat dieselprijzen rijzen de pan uit<\/a> door de conflicten in Iran en het Midden-Oosten, waardoor zelfs omgebouwde e-trucks economisch levensvatbaar worden.<\/p>\n

Trova werd in 2021 opgericht door industrieveteranen Patrick Collignon, Paul Kegels, Jan Bracke, Jean-Marie Van Brussel, Patrick Coulier en Michel Van den Broeck. Het bedrijf verkoopt omgebouwde dieseltrucks met eigen technologie en typegoedkeuring.<\/p>\n

V02 al onderweg<\/h4>\n

De eerste Trova werd vorig jaar aan Ninatrans geleverd. Dit V01-model is gebaseerd op een vorige generatie Volvo FH 44-tons trekker.<\/p>\n

Trova heeft de truck uitgerust met een 186 kWh NMC batterijpakket en een 345 kW (469 pk) motor, met een rijbereik van ongeveer 140 km, wat genoeg is voor de behoeften van Ninatrans.<\/p>\n

Maar er wordt al gewerkt aan verbeteringen. De tweede versie van de Trova-truck krijgt een verbeterde geluidsisolatie, een groter bereik van ongeveer 350 km, de mogelijkheid om snel op te laden en een specifieke typegoedkeuring, waardoor het registratieproces voor volgende voertuigen eenvoudiger wordt.<\/p>\n

Een derde goedkoper dan een nieuwe e-truck<\/h4>\n

De omgebouwde e-trucks van Trova zullen ongeveer \u20ac200.000 per stuk kosten, ongeveer een derde minder dan een gloednieuwe elektrische truck, die ongeveer \u20ac300.000 kost. Nu de dieselprijzen stijgen, zou dit de TCO-berekening in het voordeel van Trova kunnen doen doorslaan.<\/p>\n

Op dit moment is Trova op zoek naar investeerders om de serieproductie van de omgebouwde trucks te starten. Het aanvankelijke doel is om de productie te verhogen van \u00e9\u00e9n voertuig per maand naar \u00e9\u00e9n per week.<\/p>\n

Op lange termijn wil Trova 4.000 vrachtwagens per jaar ombouwen. En met een groter volume komt er een betere onderhandelingspositie met batterijleveranciers, waardoor de prijzen mogelijk nog lager worden.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
