Op 25 maart 2026 vierde het Belgische baggerbedrijf DEME de doop van zijn nieuwe generatie windturbine-installatieschip \u2018Norse Wind\u2019. De viering, die plaatsvond in de haven van Oslo, markeert een belangrijke toevoeging aan de offshore installatievloot van DEME.<\/p>\n

Voorafgaand aan de doopplechtigheid had DEME de eer om Hunne Majesteiten de Koning en de Koningin der Belgen, Zijne Koninklijke Hoogheid Kroonprins Haakon van Noorwegen, Vice-Premier en Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, Europese Zaken en Ontwikkelingssamenwerking Maxime Pr\u00e9vot, en Minister-President van de Vlaamse Regering, Vlaams Minister van Economie, Innovatie en Industrie, Buitenlandse Zaken, Digitalisering en Facility Management Matthias Diependaele aan boord van Norse Wind te verwelkomen.<\/p>\n

Hun gezamenlijke aanwezigheid onderstreepte de sterke en duurzame banden tussen Belgi\u00eb en Noorwegen en benadrukte het gedeelde engagement van beide naties om offshore windenergie te bevorderen.<\/p>\n

Noorse wind<\/h4>\n

Norse Wind zal de volgende generatie windturbines en XXL monopiles transporteren en installeren in waterdieptes tot 70 meter. Het schip zet binnenkort koers naar de Noordzee, waar het de komende jaren Vestas offshore windturbines zal vervoeren en installeren op onder andere het Nordseecluster project, een gezamenlijk offshore windproject van RWE en Norges Bank Investment Management.<\/p>\n

Norse Wind combineert geavanceerde technologie met een sterke focus op energie-effici\u00ebntie. Het schip is uitgerust met een krachtige kraan van 3.200 ton en is speciaal gebouwd voor het transporteren en installeren van de volgende generatie windturbines en XXL monopiles in waterdieptes tot 70 meter.<\/p>\n

Zeer effici\u00ebnt<\/h4>\n

Met de capaciteit om vier turbines van 20 MW of zes turbines van 15 MW te vervoeren, kan Norse Wind aanzienlijk meer vermogen per reis vervoeren en installeren dan kleinere schepen. Dit zou moeten resulteren in zeer effici\u00ebnte projectuitvoeringen.<\/p>\n

Het ontwerp bevat een hybride energiecentrale en een accusysteem van 4,2 MWh dat energiepieken opvangt en de belasting van de dieselmotor vermindert, waardoor de brandstofeffici\u00ebntie verbetert en de uitstoot daalt.<\/p>\n
