Die verschuiving is de afgelopen weken steeds zichtbaarder geworden. Geely is zijn belangrijkste merk naar Europa brengen<\/a> om zich te richten op de EV- en plug-in hybride massamarkt, terwijl engineeringactiviteiten consolideren<\/a> onder een nieuwe Europese technologiestructuur. Het bedrijf kan het aantal bezoekers in de showroom en de bezettingsgraad van de werkplaatsen verhogen en tegelijkertijd een bredere klantenbasis aanspreken zonder zijn eigen premium positionering aan te tasten. Officieel benadrukt Volvo dat beide merken zich op verschillende segmenten richten en eerder complementair dan concurrerend zijn.<\/p>\n

Op groepsniveau is de strategie echter nog duidelijker. Geely evolueert van een losse verzameling van semi-onafhankelijke merken naar een geco\u00f6rdineerd ecosysteem.<\/p>\n

De herintrede van het merk Geely zelf positioneert het als een waardegeori\u00ebnteerde volumespeler. Lynk & Co zit daartussenin als een lifestyle-geori\u00ebnteerd bijna-premium merk, terwijl Volvo de gevestigde premium mainstream pijler blijft.
