Het klinkt als een rekwisiet uit een Star Wars-film. Behalve dat hij echt rijdt.<\/p>\n<p>Sommige concepten benemen je de adem. Andere doen dat tot je je realiseert dat ze de showvloer nooit zullen verlaten. De Noll Go uit Stockholm behoort tot de eerste categorie.<\/p>\n<p>Op Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt onthulde Nuxon Mobility een e-bike die \u201cnul naven, nul spaken, nul onderhoud, nul hoofdpijn, nul uitstoot\u201d belooft. Voor Noll Go is nul blijkbaar alles behalve niets. En ja, je hebt dit eerder gezien.<\/p>\n<h4>Het rijdt!<\/h4>\n<p>Het meest opvallende aan de Noll Go zijn natuurlijk de wielen. Of beter gezegd: wat ze missen. De naaf en spaken zijn vervangen door banden die draaien via een lagersysteem langs de rand van de velg, waarbij de aandrijfmotoren direct in de velg zijn ge\u00efntegreerd.<\/p>\n<p>Het effect is echt surrealistisch: twee vrij zwevende ringen die hun roterende onafhankelijkheid van de rest van de fiets bevestigen. De banden zijn 700C airless, wat betekent dat ze lekbestendig zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Op een eerste Instagram-video is te zien hoe de Noll Go daadwerkelijk op eigen kracht beweegt, waarmee de scepsis waarmee het in eerste instantie werd geconfronteerd, wordt getrotseerd. De wielen draaien soepel, zonder zichtbare wiebel.<\/p>\n<p>E\u00e9n opmerking: de berijder trapt met een vrij hoge cadans voor de bescheiden snelheid, wat suggereert dat de motorondersteuning op het prototype nog niet volledig is afgestemd. Drie ondersteuningsstanden - Eco, Standard en Performance - brengen de motor tot een maximumsnelheid van 25 km\/u, met opties voor bromfietsklasse 1 of 2 homologatie, waar toegestaan.<\/p>\n<p>De 330-Wh lithium-ion batterij is verwijderbaar en wordt in drie uur volledig opgeladen via USB-C. Een tweede USB-C poort in de stuurpen kan je telefoon opladen terwijl je rijdt. En bergafwaarts? Regeneratief remmen via hydraulische velgen geeft energie terug aan de batterij, zodat je remblokken langer meegaan. De batterij is traceerbaar via GPS, 4G en WiFi, met een gratis mobiel abonnement voor de eerste twee jaar.<\/p>\n<p>De leegte die is ontstaan door het verwijderen van naven en spaken is ook niet verloren gegaan: in beide wielen zitten ge\u00efntegreerde opbergzakken. Een verwarmd zadel, een waterdicht touchscreen, in de velgen ingebouwde richtingaanwijzers en tot 600 lumen verlichting aan de voorkant maken het pakket compleet. Het roestvrijstalen frame weegt 22 kg.<\/p>\n<h4>Les geleerd van Reevo?<\/h4>\n<p>De spaakloze e-bike is niet helemaal een nieuw idee. De Amerikaanse rivaal Reevo kwam zo'n vier jaar geleden als eerste, maar zijn inspanningen werden in de daaropvolgende reviews afgekraakt: te luid, te zwaar en te onbetrouwbaar.<\/p>\n<p>De Canadese website MTB schreef: \u201cDit zou wel eens de slechtste fiets ooit gemaakt kunnen zijn.\u201d Het probleem is dat het raderloze wiel veel weerstand produceert, wat eerder tegen de fietser werkt dan voor hem.<\/p>\n<p>Noll Go leeft in die schaduw, of hij dat nu leuk vindt of niet, en of hij heeft geleerd van de fouten van Reevo en een meer naadloze ervaring biedt, is een vraag die alleen kilometers rijden in de echte wereld kan beantwoorden.
