Volkswagen is van plan om de SDV-software te introduceren in de <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2025\/03\/06\/vw-id-every1-volkswagen-wants-to-become-car-for-the-people-again\/\">ID. Every1,<\/a> gepland voor 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Het is echter onwaarschijnlijk dat de kleine elektrische auto de Amerikaanse markt zal bereiken vanwege de zwakke vraag naar compacte modellen, waar alleen compacte SUV's als levensvatbaar worden beschouwd. Op basis van de tijdlijn en eerdere opmerkingen van Gruner heeft de aankomende ID. Polo, die dit jaar op de markt komt, ook geen vooruitzichten in de VS. Als de VW ID. Cross kleine SUV een kans maakt, is niet duidelijk.<\/p>\n<h4>Verkenner<\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naast het op de markt brengen van de ID.4, die rechtstreeks in de VS is geproduceerd, en de ID. Buzz, ge\u00efmporteerd uit Hannover, Duitsland, zal Volkswagen zich in eerste instantie richten op het nieuw leven inblazen van het merk Scout in Noord-Amerika. Onder dit merk wil Volkswagen pick-ups en SUV's verkopen. Hoewel deze modellen oorspronkelijk volledig elektrisch zouden zijn, wordt nu verwacht dat ze eerst met een range extender op de markt zullen komen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na vertragingen in de planning verwacht Volkswagen nu de eerste Scout-voertuigen in 2028 te leveren in plaats van in 2027. Het is nog onduidelijk of de modellen zullen worden uitgerust met de software van Rivian. De Amerikaanse CEO Kjell Gruner verwelkomde de samenwerking en zei: \u201cDit is precies de technologie die we nodig hebben. Het gaat niet alleen om software, maar ook om hardware. Je hebt een computerarchitectuur en software nodig die naadloos samenwerken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>ID. Buzz<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Er is wat verwarring ontstaan over de Volkswagen ID. Buzz slaat het modeljaar 2026 over in de VS. \u201cWe slaan het modeljaar \u201826 gewoon over met de ID. Buzz,\u201d zei Gruner. \u201cWe gaan gewoon direct van \u201825 naar \u201827.\u201d De CEO verzekerde de media dat er geen gat in de dealervoorraad zou vallen: \u201cTegen andere geruchten in is er een consistent aanbod in de markt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gruner legde de beslissing uit als een eenvoudige kwestie van vraag en aanbod: \u201cWe hebben gewoon gekeken naar de vraag, het aanbod en toen gezegd: is het de moeite waard om modeljaar \u201826 te lanceren? Buzz is alleen verkrijgbaar in de lange versie in de VS \/Volkswagen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4><strong>ID.4 productie niet langer in de V.S.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De prioriteit die in de Volkswagen-fabriek in Chattanooga wordt gegeven aan de grote SUV met verbrandingsmotor boven de middelgrote volledig elektrische ID.4 heeft vooral te maken met veranderingen in het Amerikaanse beleid. Na de beslissing van de regering Trump om het belastingkrediet van $7.500 voor de aankoop van elektrische voertuigen vanaf 30 september 2025 in te trekken, is de vraag naar EV's aanzienlijk gedaald.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Net als de meeste andere fabrikanten is Volkswagen getroffen door deze verschuiving: volgens Cox Automotive verkocht het bedrijf slechts 248 ID. 4 verkocht in het vierde kwartaal van 2025. Voordat de stimuleringsmaatregel afliep, waren de verkopen echter al gestegen, wat resulteerde in een stijging van 31,4% voor het hele jaar en meer dan 22.000 geleverde eenheden. In het licht van de onlangs aangekondigde beslissing lijkt een herstel van de ID.4-verkopen in de VS op korte termijn echter onwaarschijnlijk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe fabriek in Chattanooga is en blijft een hoeksteen van de strategie van Volkswagen in de Verenigde Staten,\u201d zei Kjell Gruner. \u201cDeze strategische verschuiving onderstreept de toewijding van het bedrijf aan Chattanooga en zijn werknemers, terwijl we de fabriek positioneren voor succes op de lange termijn en toekomstige productmogelijkheden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen stopt medio april met de productie van de ID.4 in de fabriek in Chattanooga. De ID.4 voor modeljaar 2026 zal in de VS aangeboden blijven worden vanuit de bestaande voorraad, waarvan het bedrijf verwacht dat die voldoende zal zijn om tot en met 2027 aan de vraag van klanten te voldoen.<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen wil benadrukken dat de productiestop in de VS niet het einde betekent van de ID.4 op de Amerikaanse markt. Er staat al een opvolger of bijgewerkte versie gepland voor Noord-Amerika, waarover in een later stadium meer bekend wordt gemaakt. Volgens IG Metall wordt het model naar verwachting ook omgedoopt tot de ID. Tiguan als onderdeel van een komende facelift, waarbij mogelijk gebruik wordt gemaakt van de sterke marktpositie van de Tiguan met verbrandingsmotor in de Verenigde Staten.<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen heeft zojuist de vernieuwde Atlas gepresenteerd op de New York Auto Show. Zo'n tien jaar na zijn debuut ging het model zijn tweede generatie in als een 5,12 meter lange vlaggenschip-SUV met drie rijen zitplaatsen, die zijn sterke aantrekkingskracht onder Amerikaanse kopers voortzet.
