Bij de Volkswagen Groep staan vier elektrische compacte auto's klaar voor lancering. De Cupra Raval, het eerste productiemodel van een nieuwe familie compacte elektrische auto's, staat nu in de schijnwerpers. Hij krijgt gezelschap van de ID. Polo en ID. Cross en de Skoda Epiq.<\/p>\n

De Raval is de sportiefste van de vier en wordt in eerste instantie aangeboden in drie introducties, vanaf \u20ac 37.250 in Duitsland en \u20ac 39.100 in Belgi\u00eb. De eigenlijke instapvariant, de Raval Light, met een prijs vanaf \u20ac 25.950 in Duitsland en iets minder dan \u20ac 28.000 in Belgi\u00eb, volgt deze zomer. Met deze prijzen in gedachten zal de Raval meestal de duurste van de vier zijn.<\/p>\n

Meest sportieve ontwerp<\/h4>\n

Er zijn geen verrassingen in het ontwerp. De UrbanRebel concept,<\/a> die vier jaar geleden werd onthuld, zette de richting uit en zelfs met zijn camouflage op de IAA gaf hij een duidelijke indicatie van de designtaal.<\/p>\n

Met een lengte van 4,05 meter en een wielbasis van 2,60 meter, een breedte van ongeveer 1,78 meter en een hoogte van 1,52 meter positioneert de Raval zich als een compacte batterij-elektrische auto met een sportieve ori\u00ebntatie. Er is 441 liter bagageruimte in de configuratie met 5 zitplaatsen.<\/p>\n

Aan de voorkant wordt het design bepaald door de voor Cupra typische Sharknose-styling, scherpe lijnen en Matrix LED-koplampen. Het zijprofiel is iets zachter, aangevuld met verzonken, verlichte deurgrepen.<\/p>\n

Het design aan de achterzijde benadrukt ook het DNA van Cupra met een opvallende diffuser en 3D-verlichtingseffecten. Een doorlopende achterlichtstrip en een randloos verlicht logo versterken visueel de breedte van de auto. Om maximale personalisatie mogelijk te maken, kunnen klanten kiezen uit zeven exterieurkleuren, twee dakkleuren en acht lichtmetalen velgdesigns.<\/p>\n

Ook het interieur van de Raval volgt Cupra's nieuwste designtaal, zoals te zien in de recente facelift van de Born. Het in het dashboard ge\u00efntegreerde systeem biedt duidelijke visuele feedback naast rijhulpfuncties zoals dodehoekdetectie en reageert op functies zoals e-Launch met aangepaste animaties.<\/p>\n

Net als de Born heeft de Raval fysieke knoppen op het stuurwiel, samen met een 10,25-inch cockpitscherm en een 12,9-inch touchscreen met een Android-gebaseerd besturingssysteem. Daarnaast heeft Cupra de Raval uitgerust met een uniek interieurgeluid ge\u00efnspireerd op de Formule E, dat wordt geactiveerd in de rijmodi \u2018Performance\u2019 en \u2018Cupra\u2019.<\/p>\n

Het interieur zal verkrijgbaar zijn in drie stijlen, Pulse, Immersive en Feel, met daarbovenop een zogenaamd Ahead-pack met 3D-geprinte elementen voor de speciale kuipstoelen en andere delen van het interieur.<\/p>\n

Meest sportieve aandrijving<\/h4>\n

Technisch gezien is de Raval, net als de andere compacte modellen van de Groep, gebaseerd op het MEB+ platform met voorwielaandrijving. Het sportonderstel is 15 millimeter verlaagd en de spoorbreedte is 10 millimeter breder dan de basis van het platform. De dynamische chassisregeling maakt gebruik van adaptieve dempers met tot 15 instelniveaus op de krachtigste versie.<\/p>\n

Ook de aandrijflijnopties zijn geen grote verrassingen: Volkswagen bevestigde de vermogens voor de ID. Polo in december. Cupra heeft nu ook bevestigd dat er vier varianten komen met vermogens van 85, 99, 155 en 166 kW. De topversie wordt door Cupra aangeduid als VZ (van \u2018Veloz\u2019, snel in het Spaans), terwijl Volkswagen GTI gebruikt en Skoda voor RS kiest.<\/p>\n

De Raval is verkrijgbaar met twee batterijconfiguraties. De twee varianten met een lager vermogen zijn uitgerust met een 37 kWh (netto) LFP (lithium-ijzer-fosfaat) batterij, terwijl de krachtigere versies zijn uitgerust met een 52 kWh NMC (nikkel-mangaan-kobalt) batterij.<\/p>\n

Cupra geeft een bereik tot 300 kilometer voor de kleinere batterij en tot 444 kilometer voor de grotere. De VZ-versie zit daar tussenin, met een bereik van \u00b1380 kilometer.<\/p>\n

Snelladen kan met 50 kW in de Light basisversie, 88 kW in de 99 kW\/37 kWh versie en 105 kW in beide hogere versies met de grotere 52 kW NMC batterij.<\/p>\n

Alle varianten worden geleverd met een standaard 11 kW driefasige wisselstroomlader. Naast opladen kan de Raval ook stroom leveren aan externe apparaten met behulp van V2L-technologie (Vehicle-to-Load).<\/p>\n

Hoog uitrustingsniveau<\/h4>\n

Voor een compacte auto is de Raval uitzonderlijk goed uitgerust. Hij is uitgerust met functies zoals parkeerhulp op afstand, waarmee de auto via een smartphone kan worden geparkeerd, en een Rear Traffic Alert dat naderende voertuigen detecteert bij het achteruitrijden om mogelijke aanrijdingen te voorkomen.<\/p>\n

Het systeem wordt aangevuld met een Top View Camera die een 360-graden zicht biedt op de omgeving van de auto. De nieuwe Pre-Crash functie reageert niet alleen op mogelijke aanrijdingen van voren en achteren, maar ook op aanrijdingen van opzij. Dit zijn slechts enkele van de hoogtepunten. Andere zijn verbeterde connectiviteit, een optioneel Sennheiser geluidssysteem, een Digital key, intelligente parkeerhulp, enz.<\/p>\n

Aan deze uitgebreide uitrusting hangt echter een prijskaartje. Bij de lancering biedt Cupra de Raval vanaf nu aan in drie exclusieve lanceringsedities. De \u2018First Edition\u2019-versie combineert de 155 kW aandrijflijn met de grotere batterij en begint bij \u20ac39.100 in Belgi\u00eb.<\/p>\n

De \u2018First Edition Plus\u2019-variant maakt gebruik van dezelfde aandrijflijnconfiguratie en is zo'n \u20ac 4.500 duurder. Het topmodel, de \u2018VZ Extreme\u2019, combineert de 166 kW aandrijflijn met de grotere accu en zal waarschijnlijk rond de \u20ac 50.000 gaan kosten.<\/p>\n

De echte instapversie van de elektrische compacte auto, met de kleinere batterij en de twee motoren met een lager vermogen, volgt later. Geduld is geboden, want die wordt pas deze zomer verwacht, met prijzen vanaf minder dan \u20ac 28.000.<\/p>\n

De Belgische Cupra-importeur D'Ieteren biedt momenteel ook een Endurance First Edition 155 kW\/52 kWh-versie aan voor \u20ac 33.820 in een EasyLease-formule voor 36 maanden - levering in augustus of september.<\/p>\n
