Als de meeste mensen aan hybride aandrijflijnen denken, denken ze aan Toyota. En als mensen aan Chinese merken denken, denken ze aan volledig elektrische aandrijflijnen. Maar als het van Geely afhangt, het moederbedrijf van Volvo, Polestar, Zeekr en nog veel meer, worden die reflexen steeds meer achterhaald.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dat komt omdat de uitgestrekte Chinese groep in stilte heeft gebouwd aan een van de meest technisch ambitieuze hybride programma's in de industrie. Dit is nu geculmineerd in de aankondiging van het i-HEV systeem, dat het Guinness World Record heeft voor thermische effici\u00ebntie in een hybride aandrijflijn.<\/p>\n

Drie generaties in vijf jaar<\/h4>\n

Geely's hybrideverhaal begon in 2021 met het Leishen-systeem, internationaal op de markt gebracht als NordThor, dat een thermische effici\u00ebntie van 43,32% behaalde met een hybride transmissie met drie versnellingen.<\/p>\n

Degelijk voor zijn tijd en nu al een technologische pionier als Toyota met zijn veelgeprezen 41% efficiency. Leishen evolueerde vorig jaar en bereikte 47,2% effici\u00ebntie in een eenheid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De Chinese fabrikant is blijven pushen om de kloof met zijn Japanse rivaal verder te vergroten. Gisteren onthulde het de Intelligent Energy Hybrid (i-HEV), een hybride aandrijflijn met een onge\u00ebvenaarde thermische effici\u00ebntie van 48,4%, wat zich vertaalt in een brandstofverbruik van 2,22 liter per 100 kilometer (onder gunstige WLTC-omstandigheden).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Guinness Wereldrecords<\/h4>\n

Om de mijlpaal te vieren, werd een inspecteur van Guinness World Records uitgenodigd om de waarden officieel te certificeren. Een vleugje slimme marketing natuurlijk, maar ook een showcase van hoe serieus de Chinese merken zijn op het gebied van verbrandingsmotoren, naast accu's en e-motoren. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De i-HEV aandrijflijn behaalt zijn sterke resultaten door de integratie van AI-gebaseerd energiebeheer, getraind op meer dan 1.000 rijscenario's. Dit zorgt voor een langere levensduur van de batterij met 15% door nauwkeuriger laagstroombeheer. Dit verlengt de levensduur van de batterij met 15% door een nauwkeuriger beheer van de lage stroom.<\/p>\n

Verder is de i-HEV gekoppeld aan een aandrijflijn die 230 kW levert en in 1,84 seconden van 0 naar 30 km\/u accelereert. Geely wil dat hij meer aanvoelt als een sportwagen dan als een brandstofbespaarder.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Samen met Volvo<\/h4>\n

Geely koppelt drie motoropties aan de elektrische aandrijving: een 1.5 met natuurlijke aanzuiging, een 1.5 met turbo en een 2.0 met turbo. De laatste twee zijn bijzonder interessant.<\/p>\n

Niet alleen omdat ze hybride benzinetechnologie combineren met turbolading, maar ook omdat deze motorblokken samen met Volvo zijn ontwikkeld. De innovatie zou dus ook baanbrekend kunnen zijn voor modellen van de Zweedse fabrikant.<\/p>\n

Geely is niet het enige Chinese automerk dat zich richt op de optimalisatie van hybride technologie. BYD's vijfde generatie DM-i, een bestseller in Europa, behaalt een thermische effici\u00ebntie van 46,06%, wat aantoont hoe Japanse automerken worden teruggedrongen in hun geliefde vakgebied.
