Net op de dag dat Lufthansa de 100e verjaardag van haar eerste vlucht viert, een evenement waarbij kanselier Merz aanwezig zal zijn, wordt de luchtvaartmaatschappij opnieuw getroffen door een staking - de vijfde grote staking bij Lufthansa dit jaar.<\/p>\n

Nadat honderden vluchten werden geannuleerd als gevolg van een pilotenstaking op maandag en dinsdag, heeft een vakbond het cabinepersoneel opgeroepen om op woensdag en donderdag te staken. De pilotenvakbond roept ook op tot nieuwe stakingsacties op donderdag en vrijdag.<\/p>\n

Arbitrageprocedure<\/h4>\n

De tweedaagse staking op maandag en dinsdag werd georganiseerd door de pilotenvakbond Vereinigung Cockpit (VC). De piloten voerden actie omdat ze een betere pensioenregeling en een beter loon wilden bij Lufthansa CityLine. De pilotenvakbond bekritiseert ook Lufthansa voor haar onwil om te onderhandelen. Lufthansa op haar beurt vindt de pensioeneisen \u2019absurd\u2019 en \u201conmogelijk om aan te voldoen\u201d.\u201c<\/p>\n

De pilotenvakbond heeft daarom aangekondigd dat de piloten gaan staken<\/a> weer op donderdag en vrijdag, ook bij dochterondernemingen CityLine en Eurowings. \u201cDe situatie blijft onveranderd. Er is absoluut geen beweging aan de kant van de werkgevers\u2019, aldus de vakbond. VC dringt nu aan op arbitrage om het conflict op te lossen.<\/p>\n

Cabinepersoneel is ook ontevreden<\/h4>\n

De UFO-vakbond heeft ook opgeroepen tot cabinepersoneel<\/a> om actie te ondernemen na maanden van vruchteloze onderhandelingen over een nieuwe collectieve arbeidsovereenkomst. Een belangrijk knelpunt is het ontbreken van een sociaal plan voor de dochteronderneming CityLine, die zal worden opgeheven en vervangen door de zustermaatschappij City Airlines.<\/p>\n

De stakingen zullen Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cargo en CityLine treffen. Er zullen geen stakingen zijn bij andere dochterondernemingen van de groep, waaronder Brussels Airlines. Bijgevolg zal de impact op Brussels Airport beperkt zijn.<\/p>\n

De staking op vrijdag 10 april heeft al meer dan 90.000 passagiers getroffen, met meer dan 520 geannuleerde vluchten. In Frankfurt werd driekwart van alle vertrekkende vluchten geannuleerd.<\/p>\n

Op woensdag viert Lufthansa de 100e verjaardag van haar eerste vlucht, een evenement waar kanselier Merz ook bij aanwezig zal zijn. Volgens de vakbond van cabinepersoneel is dit een uitstekende gelegenheid om een statement te maken en het werk neer te leggen - een bewuste symbolische keuze.
