Bosch bevindt zich in een crisis en boekt voor het eerst in jaren verlies. De exorbitante kosten van de geplande personeelsinkrimping en de impact van de belastingen zijn bijzonder zwaar.<\/p>\n

De miljarden aan kosten voor het schrappen van banen, Amerikaanse tarieven en een hoge belastingdruk hebben het technologieconcern Bosch vorig jaar diep in de rode cijfers geduwd. Het nettoverlies na belastingen bedroeg \u20ac363 miljoen, volgens het jaarverslag van het bedrijf. In 2024 was de nettowinst van Bosch na belastingen al gehalveerd ten opzichte van het jaar ervoor, maar bedroeg nog steeds een respectabele \u20ac1,3 miljard.<\/p>\n

Daarmee ligt de onderneming beduidend onder haar eigen verwachtingen. Het resultaat is nog steeds aanvaardbaar, gezien de uitdagende omgeving en de uitzonderlijke kosten, aldus Stefan Hartung, CEO van Bosch. Het toont echter ook duidelijk de noodzaak aan van verdere verbeteringen op het gebied van winstgevendheid en concurrentievermogen.<\/p>\n

s Werelds grootste toeleverancier aan de auto-industrie rapporteerde voor het laatst een verlies in 2009, tijdens de crisis. Kosten van ontslagen en belastingeffecten wegen op de resultaten.<\/p>\n

Minder banen en andere kosten<\/h4>\n

Een belangrijke reden voor de inzinking zijn de kosten van het schrappen van banen. Deze drukten het resultaat met \u20ac 2,7 miljard, voornamelijk door voorzieningen. Dit betekent dat onder andere ontslagvergoedingen nu in de balans zijn opgenomen, maar dat de daadwerkelijke uitbetalingen de komende jaren geleidelijk zullen plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast hadden wisselkoerseffecten, hoge kosten en extra tarieven ook een negatieve invloed op het bedrijf. Dit resulteert in een beeld dat sterk be\u00efnvloed wordt door speciale en eenmalige effecten die buiten de werkelijke bedrijfsprestaties vallen, aldus CFO Markus Forschner. De aangepaste winst voor rente en belastingen (EBIT) bedroeg \u20ac1,8 miljard (een daling van 42%). De omzet steeg licht tot ongeveer \u20ac91,0 miljard.<\/p>\n

Bosch moet miljarden besparen<\/h4>\n

De moeilijke economische situatie heeft Bosch vorig jaar hard getroffen. De grootste autoleverancier ter wereld heeft niet alleen te lijden onder zijn kernactiviteiten, maar ook onder bijna alle andere activiteiten. Veel consumenten aarzelen bijvoorbeeld om apparaten zoals koelkasten, ovens, wasmachines, elektrisch gereedschap en tuingereedschap te kopen omwille van het huidige economische klimaat.<\/p>\n

Volgens eigen zeggen is Bosch op veel gebieden niet meer concurrerend. Om de zaken te keren, voert het managementteam onder leiding van Hartung aanzienlijke besnoeiingen door op het vlak van personeel en organisatiestructuur.<\/p>\n

Alleen al in de toeleveringsdivisie wil het bedrijf uit Gerlingen (bij Stuttgart) de komende jaren tot 22.000 banen schrappen. Er zijn ook plannen voor inkrimping op andere gebieden, zoals bij de dochteronderneming voor huishoudelijke apparatuur BSH en de divisie voor elektrisch gereedschap.<\/p>\n

Onderhandelingen over banenverlies afgerond<\/h4>\n

Volgens het bedrijf zijn de gesprekken over personeelsreducties in de divisie Mobiliteit nu afgerond. Dit zal de toekomstige concurrentiepositie verbeteren, terwijl de prijsdruk toeneemt. \u201cEn ook al duurt het even voordat de maatregelen volledig effect sorteren, we moeten ze nu uitvoeren: zo snel en doortastend als nodig, maar ook zo sociaal verantwoord mogelijk,\u201d aldus CEO Hartung.<\/p>\n

Eind 2025 had de groep wereldwijd ongeveer 412.774 mensen in dienst, 5.085 minder dan een jaar eerder. Dit weerspiegelt een verschuiving van Europa naar andere regio's in de wereld. Duitsland, dat goed is voor bijna 30% van het personeelsbestand, werd onevenredig getroffen door deze ontwikkeling. Het totale aantal werknemers in Duitsland bedroeg onlangs 122.968. Dat zijn er 6.681, of iets meer dan 5%, minder dan eind vorig jaar.<\/p>\n

Zal 2026 beter zijn voor Bosch? Volgens Hartung is het nog te vroeg om het sein veilig te geven. De uitdagingen blijven aanzienlijk. Het management blijft verwachten dat de hoge mate van wereldwijde onzekerheid, vooral de onvoorspelbare impact van de oorlog in het Midden-Oosten, een negatieve invloed zal hebben op de inflatie en de economische output.<\/p>\n

Bovendien zal de prijs- en concurrentiedruk waarschijnlijk hoog blijven. Desondanks verwacht Bosch dit jaar iets betere resultaten. In het eerste kwartaal lag de omzet ongeveer op hetzelfde niveau als vorig jaar. Voor het hele jaar mikken de managers op een omzetgroei van 2-5%.<\/p>\n

\u201cVoor 2026 verwachten we betere resultaten,\u201d zei CFO Forschner. \u201cDe redenen hiervoor zijn de afwezigheid van eenmalige effecten in het afgelopen jaar en de kostenbesparende effecten die zichtbaar beginnen te worden. De CFO voorziet een omzetrendement van 4-6%, tegenover 2% in 2025.<\/p>\n
