Dat blijkt uit de offici\u00eble eindbalans, die onder meer La Derni\u00e8re Heure en de RTBF hebben ingezien. In totaal maakten 12 miljoen reizigers gebruik van de tram, of ongeveer 1 miljoen per maand. De tevredenheid bedroeg 77% in het najaar van 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Er is echter \u00e9\u00e9n knelpunt: de tariefontwijking. Met een tariefontwijkingspercentage van 17%, dat LETEC. zelf te hoog vindt - ligt dat percentage beduidend hoger dan in Vlaanderen, waar De Lijn een gemiddelde van ongeveer 4% rapporteert.<\/p>\n<h4>Pieken van 4.000 tot 5.000 passagiers per uur<\/h4>\n<p>Eind jaren 1960 werd de tram <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2025\/04\/28\/new-streetcar-liege-finally-on-the-rails\/\">verdwenen<\/a> uit het stadsbeeld van Luik, vervangen door bussen. Maar afgelopen april maakte de tram een succesvolle comeback met een nieuwe lijn.<\/p>\n<p>Een jaar later kan operatroLETEC. - niet langer TEC maar LETEC, aangezien de Waalse tegenhanger van De Lijn vorig jaar een rebranding onderging - een overwegend positief resultaat melden.<\/p>\n<p>Sinds de lancering heeft de tram al bijna 1 miljoen km afgelegd, of 300 ritten per dag, en ongeveer 12 miljoen passagiers vervoerd, met pieken van ongeveer 4.000 en 5.000 passagiers per uur tijdens respectievelijk de ochtend- en avondspits.<\/p>\n<p>In die 12 maanden werden 50 ongevallen geregistreerd, met 43 verwondingen tot gevolg, waarvan 3 breuken. Deze cijfers liggen binnen de norm. Zo bedraagt het ongevallencijfer voor de Luikse tram 0,6 ongevallen per 10.000 afgelegde kilometers, tegenover 0,9 voor de Brusselse vervoersmaatschappij MIVB\/STIB.<\/p>\n<p>De betrouwbaarheidsgraad steeg van 95% in 2025 naar 97% begin 2026, met een doelstelling van 99%.<\/p>\n<p>De drukste haltes, vooral tijdens schoolperiodes, zijn Saint-Lambert, Guillemins, Avroy, L\u00e9man, Standard en Op\u00e9ra, allemaal strategische knooppunten in het netwerk.<\/p>\n<h4>Hoog fraudepercentage, P+R-parkeren wordt te weinig gebruikt<\/h4>\n<p>Fraude blijft echter een groot probleem. Er waren 2.584 fraudegevallen, voor een fraudepercentage van 17%. 70% hiervan betrof passagiers zonder geldig ticket en 20% betrof het niet valideren van tickets. LETEC. is van plan het probleem aan te pakken door het kopen van tickets gemakkelijker te maken, de zichtbaarheid van ticketvalidators te verbeteren en meer inspecties uit te voeren.<\/p>\n<p>Een ander gebied dat voor verbetering vatbaar is, is park-and-ride. Deze faciliteiten blijven onderbenut. Eind 2025 hadden P+R parkeerplaatsen een bezettingsgraad van slechts 10-15%. Sinds februari 2026 is een vereenvoudigd dagtarief van \u20ac1,50 van kracht, maar een massale verschuiving van auto's naar trams heeft zich nog niet voorgedaan.<\/p>\n<p>Ter informatie: de tramlijn in Luik is ingekort: de geplande verlengingen naar Herstal en Seraing werden geschrapt, waardoor grote bevolkingscentra in de agglomeratie niet meer bediend worden.
