De Belgische regering wil de volledige controle over het energiebeleid terugkrijgen en heeft een aankoopoptie verworven op de Belgische kernactiviteiten van Engie. Hoewel het besluit \u2013 een historische ommezwaai na de uitstap uit kernenergie onder de regering-Verhofstadt I \u2013 over het algemeen positief wordt onthaald, neemt de kritiek ook toe.<\/p>
