{"id":185707,"date":"2026-05-04T12:15:34","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T10:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=185707"},"modified":"2026-05-04T11:37:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T09:37:40","slug":"stellantis-sees-small-benefits-again-in-q1-2026-but-continues-its-cost-control-measures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/05\/04\/stellantis-sees-small-benefits-again-in-q1-2026-but-continues-its-cost-control-measures\/","title":{"rendered":"Stellantis ziet weer (kleine) voordelen in Q1 2026, maar gaat door met kostenbeheersing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Antonio Filosa, CEO van Stellantis, zei dat de autofabrikant een wereldwijd kostenbesparingsprogramma zal implementeren om voort te bouwen op zijn herstelplan, dat een winst van 377 miljoen euro opleverde in het eerste kwartaal na een verlies van 387 miljoen euro een jaar eerder.<\/p>\n<p>Filosa gaf geen details over de kostenbeheersingsmaatregelen, die hij het Value Creation Program (VCP) noemde, behalve dat het zich vooral zou richten op Noord-Amerika en Europa en dat de doelen \u201cambitieus\u201d zouden zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Het programma \u201czal hoogstwaarschijnlijk ook het beheer van vaste kosten omvatten\u201d, aldus Filosa. Hij maakte het programma bekend tijdens een driemaandelijks gesprek over de resultaten op 30 april. Meer details over het VCP zullen worden onthuld op een kapitaalmarktdag in Auburn Hills, Michigan, op 21 mei, aldus Filosa.<\/p>\n<h4>Comeback begonnen?<\/h4>\n<p>Stellantis is begonnen aan een comeback onder Filosa, die in juni CEO werd, zes maanden nadat Carlos Tavares opstapte na een verrassende winstwaarschuwing.<\/p>\n<p>Stellantis rapporteerde een operationele marge van 2,5 % voor het eerste kwartaal van 2026. Sommige regio's hadden betere resultaten dan andere. Zuid-Amerika en het Midden-Oosten\/Afrika boekten marges met dubbele cijfers, terwijl de marge in Noord-Amerika 1,6% bedroeg en in Europa 0,1%.<\/p>\n<p>Stellantis boekte een positief effect van ongeveer \u20ac400 miljoen aan tariefrestituties na een uitspraak van een Amerikaanse rechtbank. Zonder de verwachte restituties zou het bedrijfsresultaat in Noord-Amerika negatief zijn geweest.<\/p>\n<p>De aankondiging van het Value Creation Program komt op een moment dat een van de grootste rivalen van Stellantis, Volkswagen Group, ingrijpende kostenbesparingen aankondigde, waaronder het schrappen van 50.000 banen in Duitsland tegen 2030 en het schrappen van overtollige capaciteit.<\/p>\n<p>Stellantis heeft, net als VW, een aanzienlijke overcapaciteit in zijn Europese fabrieken. Stellantis be\u00ebindigt de autoproductie in zijn fabriek in Poissy bij Parijs en is naar verluidt in gesprek met Chinese autofabrikanten over het verkopen of delen van andere risicofabrieken.<\/p>\n<h4>VS: verbetering verwacht<\/h4>\n<p>Filosa vertelde beleggers dat Noord-Amerika voor de rest van 2026 een verbetering van de opeenvolgende marges zou laten zien, waarbij hij verwees naar hogere orders voor voertuigen met Hemi V-8-motoren, \u201chigh-profit\u201d Jeep-modellen en de Dodge Challenger Sixpack met een 3,0-liter zescilinder turbomotor.<\/p>\n<p>Hij zei dat Hemi aandrijflijnen goed waren voor 40% van de Ram pick-up leveringen in het kwartaal. De winst zal verbeteren ondanks de aanhoudende impact van de tarieven, geschat op \u20ac1,3 miljard voor 2026, en een tegenwind van \u20ac1 miljard door hogere grondstofprijzen.<\/p>\n<p>De herlancering van de Hemi in Ram pick-ups, een motorprogramma dat onder Tavares werd geannuleerd, is \u201cgoed voor het volume, de mix en de winst per eenheid\u201d, aldus Filosa. Hij zei ook dat de lancering van nieuwe modellen, waaronder de high-performance Ram 1500 SRT TRX pick-up, Jeep Wagoneer extended-range EV en Jeep Recon elektrische SUV, de winst zou stimuleren. \u201cDe omzet en de mix zullen het hele jaar blijven groeien,\u201d verklaarde hij.<\/p>\n<h4>Europa: meer voorzichtigheid<\/h4>\n<p>Filosa was voorzichtiger over Europa en zei dat de regio (inclusief de Balkan en Eurazi\u00eb) \u201cbreak-even plus\u201d zou bereiken voor de rest van het jaar. Een steeds harder wordend concurrentielandschap, gekenmerkt door de groei van Chinese nieuwkomers, betekent dat de prijzen vlak zullen blijven, zei hij, en eventuele winsten zouden afhangen van kostenbeheersing via het Value Creation Program.<\/p>\n<p>De leveringen en verkopen in Europa stegen in het eerste kwartaal, maar zware kortingen en incentives leidden tot een negatief prijseffect van 441 miljoen euro. Andere remmende factoren voor de winst in Europa zijn de verkoop van lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen en de braaklegging voor emissieboetes, legde Filosa en CFO Joao Laranjo uit.<\/p>\n<p>Dit staat in contrast met Noord-Amerika, waar hogere marges van met Hemi uitgeruste pick-ups leidden tot een prijsverbetering van \u20ac200 miljoen in het kwartaal.<\/p>\n<h4>Geopolitieke invloed<\/h4>\n<p>Filosa ging kort in op de impact van het conflict in het Midden-Oosten en de daaruit voortvloeiende stijging van de brandstofprijzen.
