{"id":186222,"date":"2026-05-13T09:09:54","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T07:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=186222"},"modified":"2026-05-13T11:15:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T09:15:07","slug":"belgium-increases-tax-free-ev-charging-allowance-for-third-straight-quarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/05\/13\/belgium-increases-tax-free-ev-charging-allowance-for-third-straight-quarter\/","title":{"rendered":"Belgi\u00eb verhoogt belastingvrij opladen van elektrische voertuigen voor derde kwartaal op rij"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Belgi\u00eb verhoogt voor het derde opeenvolgende kwartaal de maximale belastingvrije vergoeding die werkgevers aan hun werknemers kunnen betalen voor het thuis opladen van hun elektrische bedrijfswagens, wat duidelijk maakt hoe het diepgewortelde bedrijfsautosysteem van het land zich snel aanpast aan de elektrificatie.<\/p>\n<p>Vanaf 1 juli mogen werkgevers die gebruik maken van het offici\u00eble Belgische forfaitaire systeem hun werknemers vergoeden tot \u20ac0,3222 per kWh in Vlaanderen, \u20ac0,3719 in Brussel en \u20ac0,3783 in Walloni\u00eb. De vorige kwartaallimieten waren respectievelijk \u20ac0,3191, \u20ac0,3535 en \u20ac0,3636.<\/p>\n<p>Voor een typische Belgische bedrijfsautobestuurder die ongeveer 25.000 kilometer per jaar aflegt, kunnen de jaarlijkse terugbetalingen voor thuisladen gemakkelijk meer dan \u20ac1.000 bedragen.<\/p>\n<p>Ervan uitgaande dat een elektrisch voertuig ongeveer 15 kWh per 100 kilometer verbruikt, zou een bestuurder in Vlaanderen die voornamelijk thuis oplaadt jaarlijks ongeveer 3.750 kWh verbruiken. Met de nieuwe maximale terugbetaling van 0,3222 euro per kWh zou dat neerkomen op ongeveer 1.208 euro belastingvrij per jaar. In Brussel en Walloni\u00eb, waar de elektriciteitstarieven hoger zijn, zou de jaarlijkse terugbetaling kunnen oplopen tot bijna \u20ac 1.400.<\/p>\n<h4>Driemaandelijks gepubliceerd door CREG<\/h4>\n<p>De tarieven worden elk kwartaal gepubliceerd door de Belgische energieregulator CREG en weerspiegelen regionale verschillen in de elektriciteitsprijzen voor huishoudens, netwerktarieven en belastingen. Het terugbetalingsmechanisme wordt steeds belangrijker nu Belgi\u00eb de overstap van bedrijfswagens met verbrandingsmotor naar elektrische voertuigen versnelt.<\/p>\n<p>Belgi\u00eb heeft een van de hoogste bedrijfswagenratio's in Europa, met honderdduizenden werknemers die een auto krijgen als onderdeel van hun compensatiepakket. Het systeem is lang bekritiseerd voor het aanmoedigen van files en woon-werkverkeer in de voorsteden, maar het heeft Belgi\u00eb ook onverwacht veranderd in een van Europa's snelst groeiende markten voor elektrische voertuigen.<\/p>\n<h4>Administratief complex<\/h4>\n<p>Volgens de Belgische belastingregels kunnen werkgevers werknemers belastingvrij vergoeden voor elektriciteit die gebruikt wordt om een bedrijfsvoertuig thuis op te laden. In theorie moeten de terugbetalingen overeenkomen met de werkelijke elektriciteitskosten.<\/p>\n<p>Maar het bijhouden van realtime energieprijzen voor huishoudens is administratief complex, vooral voor werknemers met dynamische elektriciteitscontracten of met zonnepanelen en thuisbatterijen. Om de zaken te vereenvoudigen, introduceerde de Belgische fiscus een gestandaardiseerde terugbetalingsformule op basis van de elektriciteitsprijsgegevens van de CREG.<\/p>\n<p>Het forfaitaire systeem werd aanvankelijk ingevoerd als een tijdelijke administratieve tolerantiemaatregel, maar is sindsdien een stabieler kader geworden naarmate het gebruik van EV's toenam. De terugbetalingsplafonds fungeren nu als een de facto benchmark voor een groot deel van de Belgische bedrijfswagenparkmarkt.<\/p>\n<p>De regels zijn vooral relevant omdat het Belgische bedrijfswagenpark sneller elektrificeert dan de bredere consumentenmarkt. Sinds 2026 zijn alleen nul-emissie bedrijfswagens volledig fiscaal aftrekbaar voor werkgevers, wat bedrijven en leasemaatschappijen ertoe aanzet om agressief over te schakelen op batterij-elektrische modellen.<\/p>\n<h4>Voornamelijk thuis opladen<\/h4>\n<p>Een groeiend deel van de Belgische bestuurders van elektrische bedrijfswagens laadt nu hoofdzakelijk thuis op in plaats van aan openbare of werkplaatslaadstations, waardoor de terugbetaling van huishoudelijke elektriciteit een belangrijk operationeel probleem wordt voor werkgevers.<\/p>\n<p>MobilityPlus, een van de grootste aanbieders van oplaadpunten in Belgi\u00eb, zei in 2025 dat ongeveer de helft van de 20.000 oplaadpunten die het beheert bij werknemers thuis zijn ge\u00efnstalleerd, terwijl leasemaatschappij Arval meldde dat bijna een op de drie Belgische leaserijders al een thuislaadoplossing had.<\/p>\n<p>Industrieanalisten verwachten ook dat thuisladen dominant zal blijven omdat het in Belgi\u00eb nog steeds ontbreekt aan voldoende laadinfrastructuur op de werkplek en in het openbaar. Daardoor krijgen werkgevers, loonadministraties en wagenparkbeheerders niet alleen steeds meer te maken met de bedrijfswagens zelf, maar ook met de vraag hoe ze hun werknemers op een eerlijke en fiscaal gunstige manier kunnen vergoeden voor de elektriciteit die ze op hun oprit verbruiken.<\/p>\n<p>Het systeem weerspiegelt ook het gefragmenteerde energielandschap van Belgi\u00eb. Werknemers die in verschillende regio's wonen, hebben recht op verschillende terugbetalingsplafonds omdat de kosten voor elektriciteitsdistributie aanzienlijk verschillen tussen Vlaanderen, Brussel en Walloni\u00eb. Werkgevers kunnen ervoor kiezen om minder dan het offici\u00eble plafond terug te betalen, maar als ze meer betalen, lopen ze het risico dat het overschot als belastbaar loon wordt behandeld.<\/p>\n<p>Voor veel bedrijven gaat het bij de gestandaardiseerde vergoeding vooral om eenvoud en rechtszekerheid in plaats van om een precieze afstemming op de kosten.<\/p>\n<p>In sommige gevallen betalen werknemers nog steeds meer voor elektriciteit dan ze vergoed krijgen, vooral tijdens perioden met hoge netwerktarieven of volatiele groothandelsprijzen.
