Nu duikt er een goed gefinancierde Californische uitdager op. Humble stelt een alternatief voor de gevestigde \u2018Pod\u2019-architectuur van Einride voor. De komst van Humble luidt een nieuwe concurrentiefase in voor autonome haven- en werflogistiek.<\/p>\n<p>Humble Robotics, een start-up uit San Francisco, heeft de \u2018Humble Hauler\u2019 onthuld: een volledig autonome vrachtwagen die speciaal is ontworpen voor korteafstandsvervoer van dok naar dok. Waar Einride een autonoom voertuig met een laadbak bouwt zonder bestuurderscabine, heeft Humble gekozen voor een andere technische filosofie. In wezen is de Humble Hauler een \u201czelfrijdend containerchassis\u201d. De elektrische aandrijflijn en autonome hardware zijn direct ge\u00efntegreerd in de diepladerstructuur.<\/p>\n<h4>Flexibiliteit van containers<\/h4>\n<p>Dankzij dit ontwerp kan het voertuig op een flexibele manier standaard zeecontainers van 12,2 tot 16,1 meter vervoeren. Ondanks zijn naam is de Humble Haulier niet gericht op langeafstandstransport, maar op het oplossen van knelpunten in zeehavens, railyards en distributiecentra.<\/p>\n<p>Net als Einride wil Humble hetzelfde marktprobleem aanpakken: acute chauffeurstekorten. Einride's aanpak is het aanbieden van een complete transportoplossing, beheerd via het eigen Saga digitale vrachtplatform.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Humble daarentegen brengt het voertuig terug tot zijn meest fundamentele doel: het verplaatsen van containers van punt A naar punt B binnen gesloten of semi-gesloten omgevingen. De Humble Hauler heeft een bereik van 320 kilometer en maakt gebruik van een 360-graden sensorsuite om complexe logistieke terreinen te navigeren zonder een traditionele trekker.<\/p>\n<p>Door het samenvoegen van de trailer en de prime mover in \u00e9\u00e9n enkel platform, stelt Humble dat het de operationele voetafdruk kan verkleinen en de manoeuvreerbaarheid in krappe terminalruimtes kan verbeteren.<\/p>\n<h4>Verzekerd kapitaal<\/h4>\n<p>Natuurlijk heeft Einride het voordeel van de pionier en heeft het al enkele voertuigen ingezet met commerci\u00eble partners zoals GE Appliances en Oatly in Europa en de VS. Humble moet nog een naam voor zichzelf cre\u00ebren.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Maar het kapitaal is er om het concept in ieder geval wat wind in de zeilen te geven.
