Ford is van plan om tegen het einde van 2029 vijf volledig nieuwe modellen personenauto's te introduceren, allemaal geproduceerd in Europa voor de Europese markt. Het gaat om een volledig elektrische compacte auto, een kleine elektrische SUV en drie modellen met verschillende aandrijflijnen.<\/p>\n

Ford heeft meer details gegeven over zijn Europese plannen: voor het einde van dit decennium wil het bedrijf uit Keulen vijf volledig nieuwe personenauto's op het continent introduceren. Daaronder zijn twee volledig batterij-elektrische auto's, die mogelijk gebruikmaken van een nieuw samenwerkingsverband met Renault, hoewel Ford dit nog niet heeft bevestigd.<\/p>\n

Rijdynamiek een prioriteit<\/h4>\n

Ford plant met name een nieuwe kleine batterij-elektrische auto die een onderscheidend design combineert met de kenmerkende rijdynamiek van het merk en \u2018race to road\u2019-capaciteiten naar het B-segment wil brengen. Daarnaast is er een volledig elektrische compacte SUV in ontwikkeling, die \u201crally-gebaseerde designtaal en rijdynamiek in een stadsvriendelijke verpakking\u201d biedt.<\/p>\n

Verder is Ford van plan om drie nieuwe multi-energievoertuigen te lanceren, verkrijgbaar met verschillende aandrijflijnen, waaronder waarschijnlijk verbrandingsmotoren, hybrides en\/of batterij-elektrische modellen.<\/p>\n

De autofabrikant heeft al meer details bekendgemaakt over een van deze modellen: het wordt een stoere compacte SUV die deel uitmaakt van de Bronco-familie en vanaf 2028 in de Ford-fabriek in Valencia (Spanje) zal worden geproduceerd. Daarnaast zullen \u201ctwee extra crossover-modellen met rally-roots de nieuwe line-up vervolledigen tegen eind 2029\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n

Verschuiving in strategie<\/h4>\n

Ford heeft de afgelopen maanden zijn strategie voor elektrische mobiliteit heroverwogen. In december be\u00ebindigde elektrische modellen<\/a> zoals de F-150 Lightning in de VS en kondigde afschrijvingen aan van in totaal 19,5 miljard dollar als onderdeel van de herschikking.<\/p>\n

In Europa, waar de fabrikant vier batterij-elektrische personenauto's aanbiedt, waaronder de batterij-elektrische versie van de Puma, de Mustang Mach-E en de elektrische SUV's Explorer en Capri op basis van de MEB die in Keulen worden gebouwd, moeten de BEV-verkoopcijfers nog aan de verwachtingen voldoen.<\/p>\n

Een verschuiving in de Europese strategie voor elektrische voertuigen van Ford werd al in december aangekondigd, toen het bedrijf kondigde de eerder genoemde alliantie met Renault aan.<\/a> Deze samenwerking moet leiden tot twee elektrische auto's van Ford op basis van Renault-technologie.
