Hyundai's toeleverancier Hyundai Mobis heeft een nieuwe generatie elektrische aandrijflijn onthuld. Het is een modulair systeem dat een<\/span> motor, omvormer en reductiekast in \u00e9\u00e9n compacte eenheid. De aandrijflijn is speciaal ontworpen om kosten te besparen en de time-to-market te verbeteren, en zal ook beschikbaar worden gemaakt voor merken buiten de Hyundai-groep.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Het PE-systeem (voor Power Electric) levert tot 160 kW (217 pk) en maakt gebruik van een architectuur met gedeelde componenten om zowel de kosten als de snelheid van de ontwikkeling van EV's te verlagen. Terwijl veel platforms voor elektrische auto's intern worden ontwikkeld, is deze nieuwe aandrijflijn bedoeld om de strategie van het delen te verbeteren en zo de effici\u00ebntie te verhogen.<\/p>\n

Volgens Hyundai Mobis is de modulaire lay-out bedoeld voor platforms vari\u00ebrend van mainstream compacte auto's tot elektrische voertuigen met hogere prestaties.<\/p>\n

Verwisselbare bouwstenen<\/h4>\n

De modulaire architectuur standaardiseert twee kernelementen, de motorstator en de vermogenselektronicamodule, voor meerdere vermogensvarianten. In plaats van op maat gemaakte aandrijflijnsystemen te ontwikkelen voor elk voertuigplatform, positioneert Hyundai Mobis deze bouwstenen als uitwisselbaar voor alle vermogensklassen. In de praktijk betekent dit een aanzienlijke vermindering van zowel de initi\u00eble engineeringkosten als de complexiteit van de lopende productie.<\/p>\n

De eenheid houdt de elektromotor, omvormer en single-speed reductiekast in \u00e9\u00e9n behuizing. Dat ontwerp is expliciet schaalbaar: twee units kunnen in \u00e9\u00e9n voertuig worden ge\u00efnstalleerd voor een gecombineerde vierwielaandrijvingsconfiguratie, waardoor het beschikbare systeemvermogen verdubbelt tot 435 pk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Centraal in de ontwikkelingsopdracht stond een verhoging van de vermogensdichtheid. Hyundai Mobis stelt dat de vermogen-gewichtsverhouding van het nieuwe systeem ongeveer 16% hoger is dan die van vergelijkbare voorgaande producten, terwijl het totale fysieke volume van de unit met ongeveer 20% is afgenomen. Beide voordelen worden onder andere toegeschreven aan een andere structuur voor thermisch beheer.<\/p>\n

Ook voor Mercedes?<\/h4>\n

Naast de technische vooruitgang heeft Hyundai Mobis PE ontwikkeld speciaal voor OEM's van derden. Deze klanten vertegenwoordigen een groeiende omzet voor de leverancier, die zijn afhankelijkheid van de merken Ioniq, Genesis, Kia en Hyundai wil ontgroeien. Mercedes heeft Hyundai Mobis bijvoorbeeld onder contract en het doel is om het externe klantenbestand binnen zeven jaar te laten groeien tot 40% van de totale omzet. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Noord-Amerika en Europa worden genoemd als de primaire regio's voor commerci\u00eble tractie en Hyundai Mobis heeft productvalidatieprogramma's uitgevoerd onder operationele omstandigheden, waaronder wintertests in Zweden.<\/p>\n

Nu zowel nieuwkomers als gevestigde bedrijven de ontwikkelingscycli voor hun EV's proberen te verkorten, kan een bewezen, schaalbare PE-eenheid van een leverancier die in staat is om volumes te produceren, uitblinken als een geloofwaardig alternatief voor interne ontwikkeling.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
