Mercedes-AMG heeft de volledig elektrische GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9 onthuld met een vermogen van 860 kW en een pieklaadvermogen van meer dan 600 kW. De bestellingen voor het high-performance model gaan de komende dagen van start, in eerste instantie met de GT 63 en GT 55 aandrijflijnvarianten. En voor sportwagenliefhebbers die het geluid van een brullende V8 missen, is er een modus die precies dat biedt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De volledig elektrische GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9 is het eerste model dat gebouwd is op het AMG.EA-platform van Mercedes-AMG en wordt aangedreven door drie axiale fluxmotoren, die samen tot 860 kW piekvermogen leveren.<\/p>\n

Mercedes benadrukt dat het model \u201cde pioniersgeest van Affalterbach met tal van wereldprimeurs\u2019 belichaamt. Verwijzend naar de naam van de stad in de buurt van Stuttgart in Zuid-Duitsland, waar Mercedes-AMG GmbH is gevestigd.<\/p>\n

Innovatief<\/strong><\/p>\n

De vierdeurs GT Coup\u00e9 introduceert verschillende innovaties. Mercedes-AMG gebruikt voor het eerst axiale-fluxmotoren in een productiemodel en combineert deze met een 800-voltbatterij die is afgeleid van Formule 1-technologie. De direct gekoelde cilindrische cellen zijn ontworpen voor een snelle, herhaalbare en duurzame vermogensafgifte, een kernelement van de AMG-merkbelofte.<\/p>\n

Wanneer de bestellingen over enkele dagen worden geopend, zijn er twee versies met aandrijflijn beschikbaar: de 63- en 55-versie. \u201cDe prijzen voor de modellen zullen gebaseerd zijn op vergelijkbare voorgangers\u201d, aldus Mercedes-AMG.<\/p>\n

Deze zijn momenteel geprijsd op respectievelijk ongeveer 180.000 euro en 160.000 euro. Opvallend is dat Mercedes de 43-versie, het instapmodel met verbrandingsmotor van de GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9, niet heeft genoemd voor de lancering van de nieuwe elektrische generatie. Het blijft onduidelijk of deze later zal worden ge\u00efntroduceerd.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Powerhouse<\/strong><\/p>\n

Technisch gezien is de nieuwe krachtpatser gebaseerd op een aandrijflijnconcept dat puur is ontwikkeld met het oog op prestaties. Naar verwachting accelereert de auto van 0 naar 100 km\/u in slechts 2,1 seconden en van 0 naar 200 km\/u in 6,4 seconden. Mercedes-AMG noemt een topsnelheid van 300 km\/u (met het zogenaamde \u2018Driver's Package\u2019). Houd er rekening mee dat deze en alle volgende cijfers nog voorlopig zijn.<\/p>\n

In de modus AMGFORCE S+ levert het voertuig een authentiek V8-geluid<\/strong> en simuleert tractieonderbreking tijdens het schakelen.<\/p>\n

De drie innovatieve elektromotoren van de GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9 leveren een piekvermogen van 860 kW (1.169 pk) in de 63-versie. De 55-versie levert 600 kW. Volgens Mercedes-AMG is dit niet de limiet: de architectuur is technologisch in staat om nog hogere vermogens van meer dan 1.000 kW te leveren, aldus de fabrikant. De axiale fluxmotoren draaien op topsnelheid meer dan 13.000 tpm.<\/p>\n

De motoren zijn ge\u00efntegreerd in een High-Performance Electric Drive Unit (HP.EDU) op elke as. Op de achteras herbergt deze eenheid twee axiale-flux motoren, elk gekoppeld aan een compacte planetaire tandwielkast in \u00e9\u00e9n behuizing. Belangrijk is dat de motoren en tandwielkasten oliegekoeld zijn. De vereiste pompbesturingseenheid, compleet met hydraulische pompen en aanzuigfilters, is ook ruimtebesparend ge\u00efntegreerd in de HP.EDU. Bovendien zijn er twee watergekoelde siliciumcarbide omvormers - \u00e9\u00e9n per motor - inbegrepen.<\/p>\n

De HP.EDU-unit aan de voorzijde bevat een motor, een tandwielkast met ge\u00efntegreerde parkeervergrendeling, een pompbesturingseenheid en een vloeistofgekoelde SiC-omvormer. \u201cDe axiale-fluxmotor bereikt meer dan 15.000 tpm op topsnelheid\u201d, benadrukt AMG.<\/p>\n

De elektrische vooraandrijving werkt als een \u2018boostermotor\u2019 die alleen wordt ingeschakeld als er extra vermogen of tractie nodig is via de vooras. Om de effici\u00ebntie bij lage belasting te verbeteren, kan de elektromotor op de vooras snel worden ontkoppeld, waardoor onnodige weerstandsverliezen worden beperkt. De verbinding wordt net zo snel weer hersteld tijdens het accelereren en herstellen.<\/p>\n

Cilindrische cellen, 800 volt<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wat betreft de volledig nieuwe batterij voor de GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9: de AMG High Performance Electric Battery (AMG HP.EB) is het resultaat van een nauwe samenwerking tussen de ingenieurs van Mercedes-AMG in Affalterbach en Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) in Brixworth, Engeland.<\/p>\n

De batterij bevat ervaring uit de Formule 1 en de ontwikkeling van de Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar. Hij is ontworpen om de prestaties te leveren die typisch zijn voor AMG en tegelijkertijd een actieradius te bieden die past bij zijn prijsklasse.<\/p>\n

\u201cHet batterijconcept is ontworpen om in de toekomst WLTP-bereiken van ruim boven de 700 kilometer mogelijk te maken\u201d, aldus AMG. Momenteel geeft de fabrikant een actieradius op van 600 tot 700 kilometer.<\/p>\n

De belangrijkste innovaties van de batterij zijn nieuw ontwikkelde batterijcellen, een innovatief systeem voor directe koeling van elke cel en een relatief hoge spanning. De cel is cilindervormig, hoog en smal: hij meet 10,5 centimeter in de hoogte en 2,6 centimeter in de diameter.<\/p>\n

Belangrijk is dat de kathodes van de cellen een speciaal ontwikkeld NCMA (nikkel\/kobalt\/mangaan\/aluminium) actief materiaal bevatten. De tegenhanger is een siliciumhoudende anode. AMG specificeert energiedichtheden van meer dan 298 Wh\/kg en 732 Wh\/l op celniveau.<\/p>\n

De ontwikkelaars concluderen: \u201cOver het geheel genomen biedt de combinatie van het hoge en slanke formaat, de aluminium behuizing, de full-tab technologie en de NCMA-chemie de basis voor maximale prestaties, met name op het gebied van continu vermogen, in elke afzonderlijke batterijcel.\u201d Bovendien \u201cdraagt de hoge spanning van het 800 volt lithium-ion energieopslagsysteem ook bij aan de algehele prestaties.\u201d<\/p>\n

Intelligent thermisch beheer<\/strong><\/p>\n

In totaal heeft de Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9 2.660 cellen, gegroepeerd in 18 lasergelaste kunststof modules. De accubehuizing zelf maakt deel uit van de voertuigstructuur. In de kunststof modules is een direct koelsysteem op oliebasis ge\u00efntegreerd voor de cilindrische cellen, waarbij AMG de nadruk legt op een gespecialiseerd koelmiddel en een responsief thermisch management: \u201cHet intelligente thermische management regelt de temperatuur van het koelmiddel voor elke celmodule precies op de vereiste waarde.\u201d Deze aanpak wordt on-demand koeling genoemd.<\/p>\n

Al deze innovaties worden weerspiegeld in de laadprestaties van het krachtige voertuig: het model kan een pieklaadvermogen van meer dan 600 kW bereiken.<\/p>\n

Volgens Mercedes-AMG kan de GT Coup\u00e9 in slechts tien minuten genoeg energie opladen voor zo'n 460 kilometer. De oplaadtijd van 10% naar 80% laadstatus (SoC) bedraagt slechts 11 minuten.<\/p>\n

Als alternatief kan de accu tijdens langere stops zachter worden opgeladen bij 400 volt. Ook belangrijk voor de wereldwijde distributie: de Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9 ondersteunt vijf snellaadstandaarden: CCS2 in Europa, GB\/T in China, CHAdeMO in Japan, CCS1 in Zuid-Korea en NACS in de VS.<\/p>\n

Concept-ge\u00efnspireerd<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mercedes-AMG had de hoekstenen van de nieuwe technologie\u00ebn voor de volledig elektrische performance vierdeurs al getest met de Concept AMG GT XX<\/a> testvoertuig in 2025. Tijdens dit proces vestigde de conceptauto verschillende records door 40.075 kilometer af te leggen in slechts acht dagen.<\/p>\n

De optimale snelheid tijdens deze inspanning was 300 km\/u, wat overeenkomstige eisen stelde aan de technologie. Naast de GT 4-Door Coup\u00e9, een volledig elektrische SUV<\/a> gebaseerd op het AMG.EA-platform zal ook volgen, en er wordt al getest sinds eind 2024.<\/p>\n
