Het plan zet zwaar in op Noord-Amerika, degradeert de Europese merken Opel en Citro\u00ebn en leunt op Chinese productiepartners om onderbenutte fabriekscapaciteit op te vullen. De markten waren niet overtuigd: het aandeel daalde meer dan 6%.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Na een nettoverlies van 22,3 miljard euro in 2025 (veroorzaakt door een afschrijving van 25,4 miljard euro op de elektrificatiestrategie) presenteerde Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa zijn remedie: FaSTLane - ja, je kent die hoofdletters wel. Het is gebaseerd op het herschikken van de prioriteiten van het bedrijf. De kern? Een strikte merkhi\u00ebrarchie, een Noord-Amerikaans offensief en een pragmatische terugtrekking uit al te ambitieuze EV-tijdlijnen. Het goede nieuws? Geen enkel merk uit het veertien merken tellende portfolio wordt ontslagen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Vier badges om ze allemaal te beheersen<\/h4>\n<p>Maar de gelijkheid is voorbij. Bovenaan de nieuwe structuur staan Jeep, Ram, Peugeot en Fiat. Deze vier \u201cwereldwijde\u201d merken krijgen 70% van de \u20ac36 miljard investering in merk en product in de komende vijf jaar. Dit kwartet dient als de \u201cprimaire lanceerders van alle nieuwe programma's en technologie\u00ebn\u201d, zoals Stellantis het zegt. En het woord \u201cwereldwijd\u201d is belangrijk, omdat deze een wereldwijd commercieel mandaat hebben. De selectie weerspiegelt ook de nationale structuur van Stellantis: Jeep en Ram voor de VS, Peugeot voor Frankrijk en Fiat voor Itali\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Iedereen blij dan? Minder blij als je voor een van de vijf gereclassificeerde merken werkt: Chrysler, Dodge, Citro\u00ebn, Opel en Alfa Romeo. Ze worden in bedrijf gehouden, maar met beperktere toegang tot het budget en een duidelijk afgebakende geografische reikwijdte. Hoe deze onderverdeling zich vertaalt in model- en technologische onafhankelijkheid is nog niet duidelijk, maar de verwachtingen zullen niet hooggespannen zijn. Maserati ontsnapt aan de kogel - of de uitverkoop - met een speciale strategische update die voor het einde van het jaar is beloofd. Filosa's onderliggende boodschap is echter glashelder: middelen volgen volume en margepotentieel, niet erfgoed of sentiment.<\/p>\n<h4>De Amerikaanse kans<\/h4>\n<p>Sinds zijn aanstelling een jaar geleden gingen er al geruchten dat Filosa van Noord-Amerika de hoeksteen van zijn herstelplan zou maken. Het blijft de regio met het grootste potentieel, omdat het minder geconsolideerd is dan Europa en het ook de markt is waar de verkoopresultaten van Stellantis de grootste klap kregen.<\/p>\n<p>Noord-Amerika ontvangt 60% van de eerder genoemde investering van \u20ac36 miljard. Alleen al de doelstelling voor de VS is opvallend: een stijging van de verkoopvolumes met 35% tegen 2030, gerealiseerd door zeven nieuwe productlanceringen met een prijs onder $40.000, waaronder twee onder $30.000, plus toetreding tot segmenten waar Stellantis momenteel afwezig is.<\/p>\n<p>Dit laatste omvat een compacte pick-up, een kleine bestelwagen en hoogstwaarschijnlijk een nieuw model dat is ontwikkeld door de aangekondigde samenwerking met Land Rover. De omzet in Noord-Amerika zal naar verwachting met 25% groeien. Stellantis is ook van plan om de productie in de VS uit te breiden. Europa krijgt daarentegen een bescheidener prognose: 15% omzetgroei.<\/p>\n<h4>De Europese voetafdruk verkleinen<\/h4>\n<p>De kloof tussen de twee ambities is opzettelijk. De 22 Europese autofabrieken van Stellantis hebben slechts een bezettingsgraad van ongeveer 60%. FaSTLane wil de totale jaarlijkse Europese capaciteit terugbrengen van 4,6 miljoen naar 3,8 miljoen eenheden in 2030. Die reductie van meer dan 800.000 voertuigen vertegenwoordigt 20% van het totaal en zou de bezettingsgraad moeten optrekken tot 80%.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-186653\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Poissy.png?resize=640%2C415&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cruciaal is dat Filosa fabriekssluitingen uitsluit. In plaats daarvan zal de capaciteitsvermindering komen door het herbestemmen van locaties. Poissy in Frankrijk werd al genoemd en transformeert van autoproductie naar autorecycling. Andere productielijnen worden verkocht aan Chinese nieuwkomers. Leapmotor gaat twee van zijn eigen modellen produceren in de Stellantis-fabrieken in Madrid en Zaragoza, en Dongfeng krijgt een lijn voor zijn merk Voyah in de fabriek in Rennes in Frankrijk.<\/p>\n<p>Maar laat Stellantis de vijand niet binnen? Filosa was expliciet en zei dat Chinese producten niet rechtstreeks zouden concurreren met het eigen assortiment van Stellantis.<\/p>\n<h4>De terugkeer van de 2CV<\/h4>\n<p>De relatie van Stellantis met elektrificatie, die Tavares, Filosa's voorganger, hoog in het vaandel droeg, evolueert maar wordt niet opgegeven. De vijfjarige productpijplijn omvat 29 volledige BEV's, 15 PHEV's en EREV's, 24 conventionele hybrides en 39 ICE- of mild-hybride voertuigen. Inclusief updates telt het bedrijf 110 nieuwe modellen tegen het einde van het decennium.<\/p>\n<p>In Europa, waar de EV-markt wordt omschreven als \u201czeer volwassen\u201d, ziet Stellantis nog steeds mogelijkheden in betaalbare kleine EV's. Het heeft zijn fabriek in Napels aangewezen om deze te produceren. Filosa bevestigde <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/04\/01\/is-the-new-citroen-2cv-finally-coming\/\">de nieuwe elektrische 2CV<\/a>, die dit najaar zijn publieksdebuut maakt op de Autosalon van Parijs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> Het gerucht gaat dat hij rond de \u20ac15.000 gaat kosten, dankzij een kleinere accu die de actieradius beperkt tot ongeveer 150 km. Tegen 2030 zal naar verwachting minstens de helft van alle wereldwijde volumes op deze drie platforms rijden. De time-to-market wordt ook verkort: van een huidig gemiddelde van ongeveer drie jaar naar een doelstelling van twee jaar.<\/p>\n<p>Software en autonoom rijden mogelijkheden zullen worden ontwikkeld in samenwerking met een uitgebreide lijst van bedrijven, waaronder Qualcomm, Nvidia, Wayve, Applied Intuition, Uber, Mistral AI en CATL.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Getallen en zenuwen<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>De financi\u00eble doelstellingen zijn ambitieus gezien het uitgangspunt. Met een omzet van 154 miljard euro in 2025 mikt Stellantis op 190 miljard euro in 2030. Ondanks de ambitie reageerden de aandelenmarkten sceptisch. Het aandeel daalde meer dan 6% bij de opening en de handel werd zelfs even opgeschort op Euronext Parijs voordat het zich herstelde tot een kleine winst bij de sluiting.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> \u00a0<\/span>Sinds de fusie van PSA Peugeot Citro\u00ebn en FCA in 2021 heeft Stellantis 60% van zijn marktwaarde verloren.<\/p>\n<p>Vakbonden zijn al even voorzichtig.
