Frankrijk heeft zijn nationale elektrificatiestrategie gepresenteerd. Als onderdeel van het plan kondigde president Emmanuel Macron aan dat Stellantis vanaf 2029 meer dan een miljard euro zal investeren in de productie van een nieuwe generatie elektrische voertuigen in zijn fabriek in Mulhouse.<\/p>\n

Deze week ontving president Macron vertegenwoordigers van de industrie en de politiek op de \u2018R\u00e9union de l'\u00e9quipe de France de l'\u00e9lectrification\u2019 (Top van het Franse elektrificatie-team) in het \u00c9lys\u00e9e-paleis. In een toespraak van ongeveer 30 minuten presenteerde hij Frankrijks routekaart om een \u2018grote elektriciteitsmacht\u2019 te worden.\u2019<\/p>\n

Een van de centrale doelstellingen is om het aandeel van fossiele brandstoffen in de energiemix van het land terug te brengen van de huidige 60% naar 30% in 2035. Frankrijk wil dit bereiken via drie pijlers: hogere energie-effici\u00ebntie, uitbreiding van de capaciteit voor hernieuwbare energie en de bouw van nieuwe kerncentrales. Een belangrijke doelstelling is het versterken van de binnenlandse elektriciteitsproductie en het verminderen van de afhankelijkheid van geopolitieke verstoringen.<\/p>\n

Elektrische mobiliteit zal een centrale rol spelen aan de vraagzijde. \u201cOns gebruik elektrificeren - dat is de kern van het plan,\u201d zei Macron. Naast de transformatie van het energiesysteem richt de strategie zich ook op herindustrialisatie. Frankrijk is een van de meest ambitieuze landen in Europa wat betreft het opzetten van binnenlandse toeleveringsketens voor batterijen en elektrische voertuigen.<\/p>\n

1 miljard euro<\/h4>\n

Tijdens de top kondigde Macron ook aan dat Stellantis van plan is om vanaf 2029 meer dan een miljard euro te investeren in de productie van een nieuwe generatie elektrische voertuigen in zijn fabriek in Mulhouse. Hij beschreef het project als een \u201cextra investering\u201d maar gaf geen verdere details.<\/p>\n

Stellantis heeft de aankondiging nog niet bevestigd, zoals de krant Le Monde meldde. Het bedrijf verklaarde dat het momenteel \u201cwerkt aan de toekomst van onze fabrieken\u201d - met inbegrip van de site in Mulhouse - en meer details zal delen \u201czodra er offici\u00eble aankondigingen zijn gedaan\u201d.<\/p>\n

De multimerkengroep kondigde onlangs echter plannen aan om vanaf 2028 nieuwe kleine elektrische auto's te produceren, hoewel deze in Itali\u00eb zullen worden gemaakt. Maar dat hoeft niets te betekenen. Het onlangs gepresenteerde strategische plan van Stellantis, FaSTLAne 2030,<\/a> omvat meer dan 60 nieuwe lanceringen en 50 belangrijke modelupdates voor alle merken en aandrijflijnen tegen 2030, waaronder 29 batterij-elektrische modellen.<\/p>\n

Hub voor nieuwe generatie EV's<\/h4>\n

Nieuw is de aankondiging dat Mulhouse ook een centrum wordt voor de productie van een nieuwe generatie elektrische voertuigen. De fabriek, geopend in 1962, produceert momenteel de DS 7 Crossback en de Peugeot-modellen 508, 308 en 408 in verschillende aandrijflijnvarianten, waaronder volledig elektrische versies. Het is nog onduidelijk hoe de productie van de nieuwe elektrische voertuigen in de fabriek zal worden ge\u00efntegreerd. De mogelijke investeringen betekenen echter een aanzienlijke stimulans voor de ongeveer 4.000 werknemers van de fabriek.<\/p>\n

De huidige productie in de fabriek in Mulhouse bedraagt ongeveer 135.000 voertuigen per jaar en \u201cis nooit meer teruggekeerd naar het niveau van 200.000 voertuigen per jaar van v\u00f3\u00f3r de COOVID\u201d, vertelde Laurent Gautherat, een vakbondsafgevaardigde in de fabriek, in april aan de Franse krant L'Alsace. De assemblagelijn van de fabriek draait momenteel op halve capaciteit. Vorig jaar moest Stellantis ook de productie op verschillende dagen stilleggen vanwege de dalende verkoop.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Elektrische mobiliteit\/transport is de sleutel<\/h4>\n

In zijn toespraak riep de Franse president op om de elektrificatie van het vervoer te versnellen, vooral in het licht van de nationale doelstelling om het gebruik van olie, gas en kolen tegen 2050 uit te faseren. Macron gebruikte in zijn toespraak vaak de woorden \u2018mobilisatie\u2019 en \u2018versnelling\u2019. Hij stelde dat elektrificatie een middel is voor herindustrialisatie, niet voor de\u00efndustrialisatie, zoals sommige critici beweren.<\/div>\n

Frankrijk voert zijn inspanningen op het gebied van elektrische mobiliteit inderdaad op. Eind april presenteerde de regering een\u00a0<\/a>masterplan dat ernaar streeft dat in 2030 twee van de drie nieuwe auto's elektrisch zijn. Van Franse fabrikanten wordt verwacht dat ze 400.000 elektrische voertuigen produceren tegen 2027 en een miljoen tegen 2030. Tegelijkertijd moeten er tegen 2035 ongeveer 30.000 snellaadpunten voor middellange en lange afstanden ge\u00efnstalleerd zijn, waaronder 8.000 voor vrachtwagens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe leveren aanzienlijke inspanningen om vraag en aanbod op elkaar af te stemmen. Dit geldt ook op Europees niveau met een coherent beleid,\u201d zei Macron. Hij stelde expliciet dat het ondersteunen van niet-Europees aanbod niet in lijn is met de doelstellingen van Frankrijk. Voor Frankrijk wees hij op de aankomende derde golf van stimuleringsmaatregelen voor sociale leasing en subsidies voor bedrijfsvoertuigen.<\/p>\n
