Volgens de gegevens van de sectorfederatie Febiac en de federale overheidsdienst Mobiliteit & Vervoer werden er in mei 33.625 nieuwe wagens ingeschreven, 2,1% minder dan vorig jaar. Febiac benadrukt dat er in mei twee werkdagen minder waren dan vorig jaar, wat de belangrijkste oorzaak is van de terugval. Over het geheel genomen, kijkend naar de eerste 5 maanden van 2026, bedraagt de registratiedaling 4,1%.<\/p>

Febiac meldt ook dat de professionele markt heropleeft en nu iets groter is dan de markt voor individuele kopers, waar de invloed van het Autosalon van Brussel afneemt en waar steeds meer mensen zich zorgen lijken te maken over geopolitieke ontwikkelingen en stijgende prijzen.<\/p>
