Dat plan is dood. Om de nieuwe richting in te slaan, brengt het merk de Eletre X uit, een range-extender versie van de SUV die oorspronkelijk alleen elektrisch zou zijn. \u201cDe penetratiegraad van EV was niet zo goed als we hadden verwacht\u201d, zei Lotus CEO Feng Qingfeng tegen Automotive News.<\/p>\n<p>Lotus noemt de technologie X-Hybrid, maar de architectuur ligt dichter bij wat de Chinese EV-industrie een EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) noemt. De Eletre X heeft een 70 kWh batterij en dubbele elektromotoren die de aandrijving voor hun rekening nemen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Series en parallel<\/h4>\n<p>Een turbogeblazen 2,0-liter viercilinder benzinemotor met een vermogen van 150 kW werkt als generator en levert zo nodig energie terug aan de accu. In situaties met veel vraag kan hij ook de vooras rechtstreeks aandrijven, waardoor het systeem een parallelle hybride wordt.<\/p>\n<p>Nu is de motor misschien klein en de Lotusnaam onwaardig, maar de vuurkracht is dat niet: 952 pk voor de H1000. Ook het opladen duurt negen minuten en biedt genoeg actieradius om van Brussel naar Rome te rijden, goed voor 1200 kilometer (350 km puur elektrisch), zonder te zweten.<\/p>\n<h4>Sneller dan Lamborghini<\/h4>\n<p>De X-Hybrid is onderverdeeld in drie bedrijfsmodi. Puur elektrisch voor gebruik in de stad, range extender voor snelwegtrajecten en volledige parallelle hybride wanneer het maximale vermogen wordt gevraagd. Lotus beweert dat de omschakeling tussen de modi gebeurt zonder input van de bestuurder.<\/p>\n<p>De topspecificatie van de H1000 sprint naar 100 km\/u in 3,3 seconden. Dat is sneller dan de Lamborghini Urus SE. Dat is wat het 70 kWh-pakket in slechts negen minuten van 20 naar 80 procent brengt. Negen. Dat is sneller dan de meeste bestuurders een parkeerplaats kunnen vinden, een kop koffie kunnen betalen en weer bij de auto kunnen zijn.<\/p>\n<h4>Niet eenmalig<\/h4>\n<p>Lotus heeft in heel Europa orders geopend voor de twee varianten. De H550 begint bij \u20ac 96.990; de H1000, met volledig vermogen, begint bij \u20ac 119.990. Gezien de range extender technologie worden dezelfde modellen verkocht in China, Lotus\u2019 belangrijkste markt en productiebasis.<\/p>\n<p>De Eletre X is niet eenmalig. Lotus heeft bevestigd dat er nog minstens twee plug-in hybride modellen in de pijplijn zitten. De Emeya vierdeurs fastback deelt zijn platform met de Eletre en er wordt algemeen verwacht dat deze als volgende de X-Hybrid behandeling zal krijgen. Daarnaast voorziet het herziene plan van Lotus, Focus 2030, in een V8 hybride supercar voor 2028. Dit wordt de langverwachte opvolger van de Evora, gebouwd rond een ICE-kern in plaats van een batterij.<\/p>\n<p>In een interview met Automotive News zei Lotus CEO Feng Qingfeng dat \u201cluxekopers niet houden van de soepelheid van EV-rijden.
