Dat erkende Brussels minister van Mobiliteit Elke Van den Brandt (Groen) vorig jaar: Floya, de multimodale app van het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest, moet meer bekendheid krijgen.<\/p>\n

De app kostte 6 miljoen euro om te ontwikkelen, maar bijna drie jaar na de lancering zijn er nog nauwelijks gebruikers. Brussels parlementslid Sofia Bennani (Les Engag\u00e9s) roept nieuwssite BRUZZ daarom op om de stekker eruit te trekken en de nieuwe functies te integreren in een modernere MIVB\/STIB-app.<\/p>\n

Handige app voor al uw mobiliteitsbehoeften in Brussel<\/h4>\n

De multimodale mobiliteitsapp Floya werd ontwikkeld door de Brusselse openbare vervoersmaatschappij MIVB\/STIB in opdracht van het Brussels Gewest. De app brengt informatie over alle vervoersmogelijkheden in Brussel samen op \u00e9\u00e9n platform. Het is een handige app voor al je mobiliteitsbehoeften in Brussel, in plaats van 10 verschillende apps te gebruiken. Partners zijn onder andere De Lijn, NMBS en MIVB\/STIB, maar ook Dott, Villa, Bolt en carpoolaanbieders.<\/p>\n

Op basis van de geselecteerde vervoerswijze krijgt de gebruiker een overzicht van beschikbaarheid, dienstregelingen, aankomende vertrektijden, vertragingen in het verkeer, batterijniveaus en meer. Gebruikers kunnen ook vervoersopties boeken en betalingen verrichten.<\/p>\n

44.500 actieve gebruikers<\/h4>\n

Maar nu heeft Brussels parlementslid Sofia Bennani (Les Engag\u00e9s) de zaken rechtgezet. Uit door haar opgevraagde cijfers blijkt dat Floya na bijna drie jaar 147.000 accounts heeft, maar slechts 44.500 actieve gebruikers; het doel was om 25.000 actieve gebruikers per maand te bereiken. Ter vergelijking: de MIVB\/STIB app, gelanceerd in 2018, had 350.000 maandelijkse gebruikers in 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe moeten Floya niet langer kunstmatig in leven houden,\u201d vertelde Bennani aan BRUZZ. \u201cBrusselaars hebben de MIVB\/STIB-app al omarmd. Die app moet het centrale mobiliteitsplatform in Brussel worden.\u201d<\/p>\n

Team van ongeveer 12 mensen<\/h4>\n

Een andere bron van frustratie is dat de app momenteel wordt onderhouden door een team van ongeveer 12 mensen, terwijl de dagelijkse werking van de MIVB\/STIB-app, die overigens half zoveel heeft gekost om te ontwikkelen, wordt verzorgd door slechts 3 voltijdse werknemers.<\/p>\n

Bennani pleit daarom voor een volledige integratie van Floya in de MIVB\/STIB-app. \u201cWe moeten het kind niet met het badwater weggooien. Sommige van de ontwikkelde functies, zoals ge\u00efntegreerde ticketverkoop en de toevoeging van gedeelde mobiliteit, zijn interessant. Die kunnen we overnemen, maar we hebben geen behoefte aan twee dure platformen die met elkaar concurreren, met enorme kosten en weinig resultaten tot gevolg.\u201d<\/p>\n

Evaluatie wordt uitgevoerd<\/h4>\n

Minister Van den Brandt ontkent de teleurstellende resultaten niet. Ze zegt dat het een enorme uitdaging blijft om mensen een nieuwe mobiliteitsapp te laten gebruiken als er al grote spelers zoals Google Maps op de markt zijn, ook al kun je op Google Maps geen kaartjes kopen of ritten boeken.<\/p>\n

De technologie achter Flora, zoals integraties met andere diensten, gedeelde mobiliteitsfuncties en datatools, zal verder worden ge\u00efntegreerd in de digitale ontwikkelingen van de MIVB\/STIB, voegt de minister eraan toe.
