Niet omdat ze een vastgoedspeler wil worden, maar omdat ze de controle wil houden over een zeldzaam groot, aaneengesloten industrieterrein.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Vlaanderen heeft een actieplan voor bedrijventerreinen gelanceerd omdat gebleken is dat er een tekort is aan beschikbare ruimte voor ondernemerschap, vooral voor grote, aaneengesloten industri\u00eble bedrijventerreinen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Unieke site<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Door een bod uit te brengen op de grond van Van Hool wil premier Matthias Diependaele voorkomen dat deze strategische ruimte verloren gaat en ervoor zorgen dat ze wordt gebruikt voor economische activiteiten. \u201c<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Het is vrij zeldzaam dat zo'n groot industrieterrein beschikbaar komt,\u201d zegt Diependaele.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">\u201cHet is geenszins de ambitie van de Vlaamse overheid om als vastgoedmakelaar op te treden\u201d, benadrukt Diependaele. \u201cWe willen deze gronden enkel vrijwaren voor de verdere ontwikkeling van industri\u00eble productie.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Banen scheppen<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Ook burgemeester Rik Verwaest (N-VA) van Lier zou graag zien dat productie- en industri\u00eble bedrijven snel een plaats vinden op deze terreinen. \u201cZodat er weer jobs gecre\u00eberd worden in deze regio.\u201d <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">De voorkeur gaat uit naar bedrijven met arbeidsintensieve activiteiten die een aanvaardbare impact hebben op de buurt en het milieu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Vlaanderen wil <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">om de site snel te activeren en beschikbaar te maken voor bedrijven, zonder een langdurig planningsproces. Op die manier wil de overheid zich richten op bedrijfsactiviteiten die banen cre\u00ebren en de industri\u00eble basis versterken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Ook bedrijvenorganisatie VOKA (regio Mechelen-Kempen) wijst op het nijpende tekort aan grote bedrijventerreinen in Vlaanderen. \u201cOm Vlaanderen economisch gezond te houden, zou er jaarlijks 260 hectare industriegrond nodig zijn\u201d, benadrukt woordvoerder Eric Laureys.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Van Hool busfabrikant<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Busfabrikant Van Hool ging in april 2024 failliet.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Het landgoed van 30 hectare rondom de fabriek was bedoeld voor bedrijfsuitbreiding, maar dat is er nooit van gekomen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">De verkoop van deze ongebruikte industriegronden begint maandag met een openbare veiling op het online platform Biddit. <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Biedingen op het enorme stuk land beginnen vanaf 20 miljoen euro.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The bankrupt bus manufacturer Van Hool from Koninkshooikt (Lier, Belgium) has recently put a 30-hectare business expansion site up for sale, and the Flemish government is participating in the bidding process.
