Fratzonic-uitlaatsysteem met kamers<\/a>. Ja, de elektrische Charger kan door luidsprekers en kamers brullen. Nee, dat heeft blijkbaar niet iedereen de V8 doen vergeten.<\/p>\nWaarom dan Europa, en waarom nu? Het antwoord lijkt minder te maken te hebben met verkoopcijfers en meer met positionering. Het ziet er niet naar uit dat Stellantis Dodge aan deze kant van de Atlantische Oceaan opnieuw als een merk voor de massamarkt gaat lanceren.<\/p>\n
In plaats daarvan wordt de Charger ingezet als een topmodel, dat via een netwerk van gespecialiseerde importeurs wordt verkocht aan mensen die nog steeds houden van het idee van Amerikaanse overdaad, maar dan bij voorkeur met Europese kentekenpapieren.<\/p>\n
Die taak is weggelegd voor KW Auto. De levering van reserveonderdelen wordt verzorgd door Iron Parts. Dat is belangrijk, want het importeren van een Amerikaanse muscle car naar Europa is niet alleen een kwestie van de taal van het navigatiesysteem aanpassen en hopen dat de Belgische verkeersdrempels genadig zijn.<\/p>\n
De Charger heeft een Europese typegoedkeuring nodig, aanpassingen aan de verlichting, wettelijk vereiste documentatie, lokale serviceafspraken en marktgerichte aanpassingen om aan de voorschriften te voldoen.<\/p>\n
Hoe laad ik het op?<\/h4>\n Voor de elektrische Daytona is het opladen het meest interessante punt. De Amerikaanse versie gaat over op NACS, maar in Europa is CCS2 de norm. Stellantis en KW Auto hebben nog niet alle definitieve technische details voor de Europese Daytona bekendgemaakt.<\/p>\n
En KW Auto geeft nog steeds aan dat de Daytona-homologatie in ontwikkeling is. Verwacht dus dat de definitieve Europese specificaties meer zullen bevatten dan alleen een snelheidsmeter in metrische eenheden.<\/p>\nDe Dodge Charger Daytona is verkrijgbaar als tweedeurs, vierdeurs, elektrische en benzineversie \/Dodge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nDe bevestigde line-up is nu al behoorlijk pittig. De elektrische Charger Daytona is verkrijgbaar als R\/T met 536 pk en 719 Nm koppel, goed voor een sprint van 0 naar 100 km\/u in 3,9 seconden, of als Scat Pack met 670 pk en 850 Nm, waarmee die sprint wordt teruggebracht tot 3,3 seconden.<\/p>\n
Beide modellen zijn voorzien van vierwielaandrijving en zullen verkrijgbaar zijn als tweedeurs coup\u00e9 en vierdeurs sedan. Dodge noemt het \u2018muscle\u2019. Uw plaatselijke bandenleverancier ziet het misschien als een zakelijke kans.<\/p>\n
De benzineversie is misschien wel nog strategischer van belang. In plaats van een V8 maakt de Charger SIXPACK gebruik van de 3,0-liter twin-turbo zescilinder-in-lijn Hurricane-motor van Stellantis.<\/p>\n
In de R\/T-uitvoering levert hij 420 pk en 634 Nm, terwijl de Scat Pack dat opvoert tot 550 pk en 719 Nm. Die laatste accelereert in 3,9 seconden naar 100 km\/u, wat betekent dat de Charger met benzinemotor niet bepaald als een compromis naar Europa komt. Hij komt als een zeer luide herinnering dat downsizing niet altijd rustiger betekent.<\/p>\n
Verkeerd cultureel moment<\/h4>\n Voor Stellantis is deze tweeledige strategie logisch. In de VS kwam het verhaal rond de Charger als puur elektrische auto op een cultureel gezien ongelukkig moment. In Europa biedt de combinatie van elektrische auto\u2019s en benzineauto\u2019s Dodge meer flexibiliteit.<\/p>\n
De Daytona spreekt kopers aan die op zoek zijn naar prestaties en een elektrische auto willen die niet in de massa opgaat, terwijl de SIXPACK de traditie van verbrandingsmotoren in ere houdt zonder de politieke en regelgevende rompslomp die een V8 met zich meebrengt.<\/p>\n
Europa zou ook wel eens een beter proefterrein kunnen zijn voor deze vreemde nieuwe krachtformule. De acceptatie van elektrische auto\u2019s is hier groter dan in de VS. Kopers van luxeauto\u2019s zijn gewend om veel geld te betalen voor nicheproducten, en Amerikaanse auto\u2019s behoren al tot een aparte emotionele categorie.<\/p>\n
Een Dodge Charger hoeft in Europa niet op rationele gronden de Volkswagen ID.7 of de BMW i5 te verslaan. Hij hoeft alleen maar zeldzaam, indrukwekkend en snel te zijn, en goed gekeurd.<\/p>\n
Een prijsklasse van 70 tot 90.000 euro?<\/h4>\n De offici\u00eble Europese prijzen zijn nog niet bekendgemaakt, maar gezien de prijzen in de VS, invoerrechten, btw, typegoedkeuringskosten en de marge van importeur KW Auto zal de nieuwe Charger waarschijnlijk niet goedkoop uitvallen. Verwacht dat de SIXPACK-benzineversie rond de \u20ac 70.000 zal beginnen, terwijl de elektrische Daytona in de duurdere uitvoeringen waarschijnlijk ruim boven de \u20ac 90.000 zal uitkomen.<\/p>\n
Er zijn nog geen details bekend over de uitrol in andere landen. Duitsland ligt voor de hand als startpunt, gezien de vestiging van KW Auto in Bremerhaven, de omvang van de markt en de al lang bestaande voorliefde van het land voor krachtige importauto\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Zwitserland, Nederland, Belgi\u00eb, de Scandinavische landen en andere bestaande markten van KW Auto zijn waarschijnlijke kandidaten, maar Dodge heeft nog geen lanceringsschema per land bevestigd.<\/p>\n
Die onzekerheid hoort er nu eenmaal bij. Stellantis brengt Dodge niet terug naar Europa met een volledig door de fabriek ondersteund dealernetwerk. Het bedrijf kiest voor een lichter, door importeurs aangestuurd model, waarmee het de vraag kan peilen zonder zich al te veel te committeren.<\/p>\n
