{"id":187544,"date":"2026-06-10T12:10:55","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T10:10:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=187544"},"modified":"2026-06-09T17:22:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:22:23","slug":"alpine-turns-torque-vectoring-into-something-you-can-actually-try","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/06\/10\/alpine-turns-torque-vectoring-into-something-you-can-actually-try\/","title":{"rendered":"Alpine maakt van torque vectoring iets wat je daadwerkelijk kunt uitproberen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alpine grijpt de start van de bestellingen voor de A390 GTS aan om iets te doen wat ongebruikelijk is voor een autofabrikant: in plaats van de complexe chassistechnologie alleen in een persbericht uit te leggen, verwerkt het deze in Assetto Corsa.<\/p>\n<p>De nieuwe elektrische fastback is nagebouwd voor de simulator; Alpine beschrijft de instellingen van de aandrijflijn en het rijgedrag als identiek aan die van de echte auto, terwijl Pierre Gasly op Le Mans is gefilmd terwijl hij het systeem demonstreert.<\/p>\n<p>De technologie die Alpine mensen wil laten ervaren, heet Alpine Active Torque Vectoring. Simpel gezegd is het een manier om een elektrische auto te laten draaien door het vermogen op de wielen te regelen, in plaats van alleen door de voorwielen te sturen of afzonderlijke wielen af te remmen.<\/p>\n<h4>Drie elektromotoren<\/h4>\n<p>De A390 maakt gebruik van drie elektromotoren: \u00e9\u00e9n op de vooras en twee op de achteras, waarbij elke achterwiel een eigen motor heeft. Dat laatste detail is belangrijk.<\/p>\n<p>In veel auto\u2019s verdeelt een differentieel het koppel mechanisch over de linker- en rechterwielen. In veel moderne auto\u2019s sturen stabiliteitssystemen de rijlijn bij door \u00e9\u00e9n wiel af te remmen. Het systeem van Alpine kan daarentegen zelf bepalen hoeveel aandrijfkoppel er op elk achterwiel wordt overgebracht, van 0 tot 100 procent, en dat binnen milliseconden.<\/p>\n<p>Voor de bestuurder is het principe eenvoudig. Wanneer je in een bocht gas geeft, kan de auto meer koppel naar het ene achterwiel sturen dan naar het andere, zodat de auto de bocht beter kan nemen.<\/p>\n<p>Als een wiel op een glad stuk weg terechtkomt, kan het systeem het koppel verminderen of herverdelen om de grip te verbeteren. Als de auto voorover lijkt te hellen of niet goed wil draaien, kan de software de achteras inzetten om de auto wendbaarder te maken.<\/p>\n<h4>Van belang bij een elektrische auto<\/h4>\n<p>Dit geldt met name voor een elektrische auto. Accu\u2019s zorgen voor extra gewicht, en een elektrische fastback met vijf zitplaatsen kan niet meer terugvallen op het oude recept van de Alpine A110, dat draaide op extreme lichtheid.<\/p>\n<p>De A390 GTS levert tot 470 pk, 824 Nm koppel en accelereert in 3,9 seconden van 0 naar 100 km\/u, maar het meest opvallende zijn wellicht de drie motoren. Alpine gebruikt elektronica om wat het \u201cwaargenomen lichtheid\u201d noemt te cre\u00ebren: het gevoel dat een zware EV natuurlijker en gretiger reageert dan zijn massa zou doen vermoeden.<\/p>\n<p>Dat wil niet zeggen dat Alpine de torque vectoring heeft uitgevonden. Het concept bestaat al jaren, en elektrische auto\u2019s lenen zich er bijzonder goed voor omdat elektromotoren zeer snel kunnen reageren.<\/p>\n<p>Audi maakte bij de e-tron S al gebruik van een opstelling met drie motoren, waarvan twee achterin; bij Tesla\u2019s Model S Plaid worden de twee achtermotoren in de Track Mode ingezet voor laterale koppelverdeling, en het viermotorsysteem van Rivian gaat nog een stap verder door het koppel op alle vier de wielen te regelen.<\/p>\n<h4>Geen wereldprimeur<\/h4>\n<p>Wat maakt het Alpine-systeem dan zo bijzonder? Niet dat het een wereldprimeur is, maar Alpine integreert dit soort hoogwaardige chassiscontrole voor elektrische auto\u2019s in een relatief compacte Europese sportwagen en maakt het vervolgens begrijpelijk door middel van simulaties.<\/p>\n<p>Rivian maakt onder meer gebruik van een viermotoraandrijving voor uiterste precisie in het terrein. Tesla past achteras-torque vectoring toe als onderdeel van een zeer krachtig circuitpakket. Audi liet zien hoe een SUV met drie motoren het oude idee van het sportdifferentieel naar het elektrische tijdperk kon brengen. De aanpak van Alpine is anders: een praktische vijfzitter laten aanvoelen als een echte Alpine.<\/p>\n<p>Daarom is de Assetto Corsa-invalshoek meer dan alleen maar marketingpraat. Torque vectoring is moeilijk in woorden uit te leggen, omdat de meeste coureurs de software zelf niet zullen opmerken.<\/p>\n<p>Ze zullen merken dat de auto scherper instuurt, stabieler aanvoelt bij het accelereren, minder stuurcorrecties vereist of meer vertrouwen wekt op natte of oneffen wegen. Met een simulator kan Alpine dat gevoel al laten zien voordat veel mensen \u00fcberhaupt in de echte auto hebben gezeten.<\/p>\n<h4>Simracers<\/h4>\n<p>Alpine brengt de A390 GTS uit als gratis mod op Assetto World en OverTake GG, twee communityplatforms die door simracers worden gebruikt om extra auto\u2019s, circuits en andere content voor Assetto Corsa te downloaden.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast zal Alpine tijdens de 24 uur van Le Mans simulators op zijn stand plaatsen. Zo kunnen gamers, bezoekers van Le Mans en potenti\u00eble klanten zelf ervaren wat de A390 GTS zo bijzonder maakt.<\/p>\n<p>Voor de gemiddelde automobilist komt het hierop neer: actieve koppelverdeling is niet zomaar een modewoord uit de prestatiewereld.
