Elektriciteit\u00a0In Nederland dreigt een tekort. Tegen 2030 zal het land niet meer in staat zijn om volledig aan de vraag naar elektriciteit te voldoen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hoogspanningsnetbeheerder TenneT waarschuwde hier woensdag voor in zijn \u201eSecurity of Supply Monitor 2026\u201c, een jaarlijks adviesrapport aan het ministerie van Economische Zaken.<\/span><\/p>\n

TenneT schat dat het stroomtekort gemiddeld maximaal ongeveer 4 uur per jaar bedraagt, wat in 2035 zou kunnen oplopen tot 37-46 uur.<\/span><\/p>\n

Een tijdelijk tekort aan elektriciteit betekent niet per se dat het hele land zonder stroom zit. Maar, i<\/span>In het geval van een dergelijk stroomtekort zou het licht in sommige delen van het land bijvoorbeeld kunnen uitvallen. <\/span><\/p>\n

In de winter zullen er vooral \u2019s ochtends en \u2019s avonds problemen kunnen ontstaan, aangezien huishoudens en bedrijven op die momenten doorgaans het meeste stroom verbruiken.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toenemende vraag<\/h4>\n

De belangrijkste reden voor de tekorten is dat de vraag naar elektriciteit voortdurend toeneemt, bijvoorbeeld door de opkomst van elektrische auto\u2019s. Tegelijkertijd is de productiecapaciteit beperkt.<\/span><\/p>\n

En hoewel zonne-energie, windenergie, batterijen en vraagbeheer steeds meer aan belang winnen, stelt TenneT dat deze maatregelen langdurige periodes van schaarste niet volledig kunnen opvangen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Als de vraag naar elektriciteit zeer snel zou stijgen, zou er al in 2028 een tekort kunnen ontstaan. Als de vraag daalt, zullen er pas in 2035 problemen ontstaan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tijd voor actie<\/h4>\n

De Nederlandse hoogspanningsnetbeheerder TenneT roept de regering op om snel actie te ondernemen. Volgens de netbeheerder moet Nederland beginnen met het opbouwen van strategische reserves, een capaciteitsmechanisme invoeren (om bedrijven te vergoeden voor het beschikbaar houden van capaciteit, zoals in Belgi\u00eb) en meer aandacht besteden aan vraagrespons. <\/span><\/p>\n

TenneT is ook van mening dat Nederland actief moet streven naar afstemming met de buurlanden Belgi\u00eb, Duitsland en Denemarken om gezamenlijk reserves op te bouwen.<\/span><\/p>\n

De minister van Klimaat en Groene Groei, Stientje van Veldhoven (D66), heeft in ieder geval al laten weten dat ze de situatie \u201czeer serieus\u201d neemt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hoe zit het met Belgi\u00eb?<\/h4>\n

Als we de situatie in Nederland vergelijken met die in Belgi\u00eb, zien we dat het land dezelfde structurele trend vertoont (meer elektrificatie, meer hernieuwbare energie, behoefte aan regelbare\/flexibele capaciteit). <\/span><\/p>\n

Belgi\u00eb beschikt echter al over een capaciteitsvergoedingsmechanisme (CRM), dat ervoor zorgt dat er in tijden van schaarste voldoende capaciteit beschikbaar is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Belgi\u00eb heeft het CRM in 2021 ingevoerd. <\/span>Met andere woorden: het \u201cverzekeringsmechanisme\u201d in Belgi\u00eb is al in werking getreden, met veilingen en expliciete volumes per leveringsjaar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Belgi\u00eb is echter geen eiland van zekerheid: de Belgische energievoorziening is ook afhankelijk van invoer, de beschikbaarheid van Franse kernenergie, gascentrales, batterijen en vraagrespons.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
