{"id":188379,"date":"2026-06-23T10:52:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T08:52:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=188379"},"modified":"2026-06-23T10:52:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T08:52:16","slug":"mazda-cx-6e-chinese-hardware-japanese-soul-european-ambitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/06\/23\/mazda-cx-6e-chinese-hardware-japanese-soul-european-ambitions\/","title":{"rendered":"Mazda CX-6e: Chinese techniek, Japanse ziel, Europese ambities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In Silo\u2019s Brussels, het voormalige brouwerijcomplex aan het Willebroekkanaal, bracht Mazda Motor Belux vorige week journalisten, dealers, wagenparkbeheerders en andere belanghebbenden bijeen voor de Mazda Experience Days, waarbij de CX-6e, die in januari op het Autosalon van Brussel zijn werelddebuut maakte, in de schijnwerpers stond.<\/p>\n<p>Het ging bij deze gelegenheid evenzeer om strategie als om carrosserie. De CX-6e zal deze zomer in de Belgische showrooms verschijnen als Mazda\u2019s tweede moderne, volledig elektrische model, na de Mazda 6e.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-188393\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/MAZDACX6e-1-2.png?resize=640%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Het is een elektrische crossover van 4,85 meter met een lithium-ijzer-fosfaat (LFP)-accu van 78 kWh, een achtermotor van 190 kW (258 pk) en een koppel van 290 Nm. Mazda geeft een WLTP-actieradius op van maximaal 484 kilometer, met gelijkstroomopladen tot 195 kW, waardoor de accu in 24 minuten van 10 tot 80% kan worden opgeladen.<\/p>\n<h4>Vanaf \u20ac 46.290<\/h4>\n<p>De prijs in Belgi\u00eb begint bij \u20ac 46.290 inclusief btw voor de Takumi-uitvoering. De Takumi Plus van \u20ac 49.290 is bovendien uitgerust met 21-inch wielen, digitale buitenspiegels en verwarmde en geventileerde achterstoelen, terwijl de Takumi beschikt over 19-inch wielen, een panoramadak, een head-updisplay en verwarmde en geventileerde voorstoelen. Beide versies maken gebruik van dezelfde aandrijving met achterwielaandrijving.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_188394\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-188394\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-188394\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/MAZDACX6e-1-1.png?resize=640%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-188394\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In het minimalistische interieur van de CX-6e is de traditionele instrumentenpanelen vervangen door een breed centraal scherm en een head-updisplay, waardoor het dashboard ongewoon overzichtelijk en ruim aanvoelt \/NMN<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>De CX-6e is niet zomaar een hogere versie van de Mazda 6e. Hij heeft een wielbasis van 2.902 mm, meer ruimte op de achterbank, 468 liter bagageruimte \u2013 die met neergeklapte stoelen uitbreidbaar is tot 1.434 liter \u2013 en een voorbak van 80 liter.<\/p>\n<p>Maar het echte belang ervan ligt onder de motorkap. Net als de Mazda 6e is het model ontwikkeld in samenwerking met een Chinese partner, Changan, en wordt het in China geproduceerd door de al lang bestaande joint venture Changan Mazda.<\/p>\n<h4>Japans of Chinees?<\/h4>\n<p>Dat is een gevoelig punt voor een Japans, technisch geori\u00ebnteerd merk dat de lancering van zijn eerste eigen, speciaal voor elektrische auto\u2019s ontwikkelde architectuur heeft uitgesteld tot 2029, terwijl het op zijn Chinese partner Changan vertrouwt om snel volledig elektrische modellen op de markt te brengen.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-188391\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Scherm%C2%ADafbeelding-2026-06-23-om-10.18.09.png?resize=640%2C646&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"646\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Scherm%C2%ADafbeelding-2026-06-23-om-10.18.09.png?resize=1015%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 1015w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Scherm%C2%ADafbeelding-2026-06-23-om-10.18.09.png?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Scherm%C2%ADafbeelding-2026-06-23-om-10.18.09.png?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tim Bosmans (foto), algemeen directeur van Mazda Motor Belux, was net terug van een bezoek aan de Chinese fabriek. Hij trad in 2013 in dienst bij Mazda, na financi\u00eble functies te hebben bekleed bij keukengerei-fabrikant Demeyere, Schering-Plough en Masterfoods.<\/p>\n<p>Hij bouwde zijn carri\u00e8re bij Mazda op in verschillende functies op het gebied van financi\u00ebn en verkoopplanning, waarna hij in 2021 Matthias Sileghem opvolgde als algemeen directeur van Mazda Motor Belux. Sileghem stapte tegelijkertijd over naar Mazda Motor Europe en is daar nu vicepresident Communicatie &amp; Productstrategie.<\/p>\n<h4>Gezamenlijk ontwikkeld voor Europa<\/h4>\n<p>Toen hem werd gevraagd in hoeverre deze elektrische SUV \u2018Japans\u2019 is, zei Tim Bosmans dat die vraag onvermijdelijk was. Hij zei dat de auto moet worden gezien als een model dat samen met Europa is ontwikkeld, en niet als een simpele import met een Mazda-logo.<\/p>\n<p>Hij was verrast toen hij ontdekte hoezeer de Chinese fabriek in Nanjing eigenlijk \u2018Mazda\u2019 en Japans is. De CX-6e wordt gebouwd in de fabriek van Changan Mazda in Nanjing, een 50:50-joint venture tussen Mazda en Changan, waar Mazda al sinds 2007 auto\u2019s produceert.<\/p>\n<p>De fabriek produceerde voorheen de modellen Mazda3, CX-30, CX-5 en CX-50, voornamelijk voor de Chinese markt. De Mazda 6e, waarvan de exportproductie daar in 2025 van start ging, was het eerste model waarbij de fabriek officieel als leverancier voor Europa optrad.<\/p>\n<p>De CX-6e is het tweede model in dat nieuwe exportprogramma, en een onlangs gemoderniseerde productielijn voor de EZ-60, de versie van de elektrische SUV die bestemd is voor de Chinese markt.<\/p>\n<p>Changan levert de elektrische architectuur en de technologie voor intelligente voertuigen. Mazda zegt dat het een groot deel van het ontwerpwerk voor zijn rekening heeft genomen en dat zijn Europese engineeringteams hebben gewerkt aan het chassis, de besturing, het remsysteem, de banden, de reactie van het gaspedaal, de afstelling van de rijhulpsystemen en de bredere Europese software-configuratie.<\/p>\n<h4>Een kwestie van overleven<\/h4>\n<p>Dit onderscheid is van belang in een markt waarin Mazda zich opvallend terughoudend heeft opgesteld ten aanzien van BEV\u2019s. Volgens Mazda\u2019s eigen presentatie bedroeg de Europese verkoop in het boekjaar dat eindigde in maart 2026 164.000 voertuigen, en streeft het bedrijf naar 197.000 in het daaropvolgende jaar.<\/p>\n<p>De CX-6e en de Mazda 6e spelen een centrale rol in dat herstelplan; volgens Mazda zijn er sinds de lancering van de 6e afgelopen september al meer dan 7.000 exemplaren verkocht in Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Voor Belux, dat wil zeggen Belgi\u00eb en Luxemburg, staat er meer op het spel. Uit de lokale presentatie van Mazda bleek dat er in het boekjaar dat eindigde in maart 2026 4.012 auto\u2019s werden verkocht en dat de doelstelling voor het boekjaar dat eindigt in maart 2027 op 6.500 ligt, wat neerkomt op een stijging van 62%.<\/p>\n<p>Het aandeel van wagenparken zal naar verwachting stijgen van 17% naar 23%, wat verklaart waarom het publiek in Brussel naast het dealernetwerk ook uit wagenparkbeheerders bestond.<\/p>\n<h4>Dalende verkoopcijfers als gevolg van het uitlopende CX-5-model<\/h4>\n<p>De timing is cruciaal. De verkoopcijfers van Mazda in Belgi\u00eb daalden in 2025 sterk, toen de uitlopende CX-5 het einde van zijn levenscyclus naderde. Ten Brink merkte eerder op dat dit model alleen al goed was voor ongeveer 40% van het lokale verkoopvolume van Mazda.<\/p>\n<p>De nieuwe CX-5, Mazda 6e en CX-6e moeten die daling een halt toeroepen, maar de elektrische SUV is de duidelijkste uiting van de nieuwe formule: Chinese EV-hardware, Mazda-design en Europese rijafstemming.<\/p>\n<p>Brussel is het podium geworden waarop Mazda die formule wil bewijzen. Ten Brink heeft de stad omschreven als het \u201cZwitserland van de auto-industrie\u201d, een neutrale locatie voor Europese premi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p>De Experience Days bij Silo Brussels maakten die symboliek concreter. Voor Mazda Belux is de CX-6e meer dan alleen een nieuwe SUV.
