Audi heeft zijn plannen voor de A4 e-tron definitief vastgelegd. De elektrische auto uit het middensegment zal in 2028 op de markt komen en wordt een van de eerste modellen van de Volkswagen-groep die in grote aantallen wordt geproduceerd en volledig gebruikmaakt van het nieuwe SSP-platform.<\/p>\n

Rouven Mohr, lid van de raad van bestuur van Audi verantwoordelijk voor technische ontwikkeling, zou tegen GoAuto hebben gezegd dat er \u201cgeen reden is om de geplande marktintroductie van de A4 e-tron in 2028 aan te passen\u201d. Volgens het nieuwsportaal wordt de A4 e-tron het eerste Audi-model dat het \u201cvolledige potentieel\u201d van het SSP-platform benut.<\/p>\n

Het zou onder meer kunnen gaan om een gestandaardiseerde batterijarchitectuur, nieuwe zone-elektronica en verbeteringen op het gebied van effici\u00ebntie en actieradius. Het rapport geeft echter geen specifieke technische details.<\/p>\n

Mohr legde verder uit dat de A4 E-Tron een van de eerste productiemodellen zal zijn waarin Audi\u2019s nieuwe \u2018Radical Next\u2019-ontwerptaal wordt toegepast. Het model introduceert ook een nieuw interieurconcept waarin digitale functies sterker worden ge\u00efntegreerd met klassieke bedieningselementen, zoals knoppen en draaiknoppen. Het model wordt ontwikkeld volgens de interne \u2018Project House\u2019-aanpak van de groep, die volgens Audi onder andere bedoeld is om de ontwikkelingstijd te verkorten.<\/p>\n

concurrent van de i3 en de C-Klasse<\/h4>\n

Met de A4 E-Tron positioneert Audi zich als concurrent van de binnenkort te verschijnen elektrische BMW i3 en de elektrische Mercedes C-Klasse. Beide concurrenten geven een impuls aan de elektrificatie van het middensegment, terwijl Audi met dit model tegelijkertijd de generatiewisseling naar de SSP-architectuur inluidt, net zoals BMW dat deed met de iX3 SUV, de eerste vertegenwoordiger van zijn \u2018Neue Klasse\u2019.\u00a0 Mohr bevestigde ook dat de klassieke Avant deel blijft uitmaken van de modellenfamilie, wat betekent dat er een stationwagenvariant beschikbaar zal zijn.<\/p>\n

De bevestiging van de tijdlijn is vooral opmerkelijk omdat de A4 E-Tron herhaaldelijk in verband is gebracht met vertragingen bij de softwareontwikkeling binnen de Volkswagen-groep.<\/a> Vorig jaar meldde Manager Magazin dat problemen bij de software-joint venture met Rivian de marktintroductie van het model hadden uitgesteld tot eind 2028.<\/p>\n

Destijds werden er problemen genoemd met betrekking tot de integratie van de nieuwe zonale elektronica-architectuur en aanpassingen voor de verschillende merken van de Groep. Audi heeft hier zelf geen commentaar op gegeven, maar lijkt zich nu aan het tijdschema voor 2028 te houden.<\/p>\n
