Vanaf 1 mei volgend jaar is Belgi\u00eb van plan om een vignet verplicht te stellen voor alle automobilisten op de Belgische snelwegen en regionale wegen. \u201cAlweer een nieuwe\u201d, moeten de ge\u00ebrgerde automobilisten wel denken terwijl ze zich klaarmaken om met de auto op vakantie te vertrekken, want het is onmogelijk geworden om het overzicht te behouden over de talloze systemen voor wegen- en milieuvignetten en lage-emissiezones (LEZ) in heel Europa.<\/p>\n

Juist omdat de regelgeving op dit gebied in Europa versnipperd is en er nog steeds geen geharmoniseerde Europese regels bestaan, lanceert de mobiliteitsorganisatie Touring een hulpmiddel om automobilisten te helpen hun weg te vinden in het doolhof van mogelijkheden.<\/p>\n

\u2018Administratieve wirwar\u2019<\/h4>\n

Het reizen zelf is een \u2018administratieve wirwar\u2019, en dat is geen overdrijving. Naast tolwegen kent Frankrijk ook Crit\u2019Air-stickers. Deze zijn verplicht in steden als Parijs, Lyon, Lille en Rouen, maar niet vereist voor doorgaand verkeer rond Montpellier, Grenoble of Straatsburg.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast is er ook nog politieke onzekerheid: Frankrijk overweegt de milieuzones af te schaffen, maar het besluit is nog niet definitief, dus de regels blijven voorlopig van kracht.<\/p>\n

Duitsland daarentegen kent 35 afzonderlijke milieuzones, of \u2018Umweltzonen\u2019, plus afzonderlijke dieselverboden in bepaalde steden zoals Frankfurt, M\u00fcnchen en Stuttgart.<\/p>\n

Zwitserland kent geen vaste milieuvignet voor milieuzones \u2013 behalve tijdelijk in Gen\u00e8ve tijdens smogwaarschuwingen \u2013 maar er geldt wel een aparte, verplichte vignet voor snelwegen.<\/p>\n

Spanje en Itali\u00eb hebben tolwegen en milieuzones die per stad verschillen. In Spanje heeft elke stad met meer dan 50.000 inwoners doorgaans een eigen ZBE en een eigen stickersysteem (4 categorie\u00ebn), hoewel sommige steden buitenlandse vignetten accepteren. Ook Itali\u00eb kent veel lokale ZTL\u2019s (Zona a Traffico Limitato) en milieuzones \u2013 inmiddels in meer dan 100 Italiaanse steden.<\/p>\n

En sommige landen, zoals Kroati\u00eb, Oostenrijk, Sloveni\u00eb en Tsjechi\u00eb, hebben helemaal geen LEZ\u2019s voor personenauto\u2019s, maar eisen wel een tolvignet.<\/p>\n

E\u00e9n enkele, doelgerichte controle-tool<\/h4>\n

Aangezien het de komende weken op de Europese wegen nog drukker zal worden vanwege het hoogseizoen voor autoreizen naar het buitenland, lanceert Touring een nieuwe online tool<\/a> om automobilisten te helpen uitzoeken waar en wat ze moeten betalen, afhankelijk van hun voertuig.<\/p>\n

Met deze tool kunnen automobilisten v\u00f3\u00f3r vertrek nagaan of ze een vignet moeten kopen, hun voertuig moeten registreren of rekening moeten houden met een milieuzone langs hun route of op hun bestemming.<\/p>\n

\u201cZolang Europa deze regels niet harmoniseert, zullen automobilisten te maken blijven krijgen met een wirwar van verschillende systemen\u201d, aldus Touring. \u201cDoor dit voor vertrek te controleren, kun je een boete, een omweg of de weigering om bepaalde zones binnen te rijden voorkomen.\u201d<\/p>\n

De mobiliteitsorganisatie raadt aan om deze controle een paar dagen voor vertrek uit te voeren, vooral als er een fysieke sticker moet worden besteld en per post moet worden verstuurd.<\/p>\n

Bijkomende kosten<\/h4>\n

Touring is niet de eerste die een dergelijke tool aanbiedt; zijn concurrent, VAB, publiceert soortgelijke overzichten. Nieuw is dat Touring deze informatie nu bundelt in \u00e9\u00e9n gerichte controletool op basis van het voertuig en de reisroute, in plaats van dat gebruikers de informatie voor elk land afzonderlijk moeten opzoeken.<\/p>\n

Houd er rekening mee dat u bij aankoop via Touring of VAB vaak naast de offici\u00eble prijs ook servicekosten of administratiekosten moet betalen. Afhankelijk van het land en het type vignet kan deze toeslag vari\u00ebren van een paar euro tot ongeveer \u20ac 10, en in sommige gevallen zelfs nog hoger.<\/p>\n

De tool is daarom vooral handig om een overzicht te krijgen, maar als het op de daadwerkelijke aankoop aankomt, is het soms de moeite waard om zelf naar de offici\u00eble website te gaan.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
