De fabriek biedt werk aan ongeveer 450 mensen.<\/p>\n<h4>Slechts ongeveer 6%<\/h4>\n<p>Projecten in verband met Renault maken slechts ongeveer 6% van de activiteiten uit in de Nissan-fabriek in Los Corrales de Buelna, in Cantabri\u00eb. Nissan verwacht dan ook dat het verlies kan worden opgevangen zonder dat dit een noemenswaardig effect heeft op de totale productievolumes aldaar.<\/p>\n<p>Het bedrijf is op zoek gegaan naar nieuwe industri\u00eble projecten en klanten om de door Renault in \u00c1vila verloren gegane orderportefeuille te compenseren. Het bedrijf laat weten dat ook mogelijke projecten met derde partijen worden onderzocht, waarbij de voortzetting van de fabriek en de werkgelegenheid voorop staan.<\/p>\n<p>Regionale en lokale overheden, Nissan en vertegenwoordigers van de werknemers hebben een werkgroep opgericht om extra productiecapaciteit in kaart te brengen.<\/p>\n<p>Naar verluidt is tijdens een eerste bijeenkomst een onmiddellijke sluiting uitgesloten, maar er moet nog steeds alternatief werk worden gevonden voordat de orders van Renault in december aflopen.<\/p>\n<h4>Van vrachtwagens tot reserveonderdelen<\/h4>\n<p>In \u00c1vila werden vroeger bedrijfsvoertuigen van Nissan gebouwd, maar na de stopzetting van de voertuigproductie werd de fabriek omgevormd tot een bedrijf dat onderdelen en reserveonderdelen produceert. Deze transformatie hield nauw verband met de Renault-Nissan-alliantie en was bedoeld om de Europese vestigingen van beide fabrikanten te bevoorraden.<\/p>\n<p>Het vertrek van Renault betekent het wegvallen van een van de pijlers waarop die omschakeling was gebaseerd. Dit gebeurt bovendien op een moment dat Nissan een veel ingrijpender herstructurering doorvoert om de kosten, de productiecapaciteit en het personeelsbestand terug te dringen na jaren van zwakke winstgevendheid.<\/p>\n<p>Renault weigerde in detail commentaar te geven en zou het besluit hebben omschreven als een commerci\u00eble aangelegenheid tussen de bedrijven.<\/p>\n<h4>Selectieve samenwerking vervangt integratie<\/h4>\n<p>Deze stap van Spanje betekent niet dat Renault en Nissan hun industri\u00eble samenwerking volledig be\u00ebindigen. Het laat juist zien hoe de relatie is verschoven van brede integratie naar een kleiner aantal projecten waarin beide partners een duidelijk financieel voordeel zien.<\/p>\n<p>Ampere, de divisie voor elektrische auto\u2019s van de Renault-groep, ontwikkelt en produceert de nieuwste Nissan Micra al in haar fabriek in Douai, in Noord-Frankrijk. In dezelfde fabriek wordt naast modellen van Renault en Alpine ook de Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross gebouwd.<\/p>\n<p>Renault en Nissan zijn ook overeengekomen dat Ampere een stadsauto van Nissan zal ontwikkelen en produceren, die is afgeleid van de nieuwe elektrische Twingo. Het model zal Nissan naar verwachting een goedkopere toegang bieden tot de Europese markt voor elektrische auto\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Tegelijkertijd hebben de partners hun eigendomsbanden versoepeld en verschillende verouderde structuren afgebroken.<\/p>\n<p>Renault rondde in 2025 de overname af van het aandeel van Nissan in hun Indiase productie-joint venture, terwijl Nissan werd vrijgesteld van zijn geplande investering van 600 miljoen euro in Ampere. Hun herziene overeenkomst maakte het ook mogelijk om de wederzijdse aandelenbelangen terug te brengen van 15% naar 10%.<\/p>\n<p>Het resultaat is een alliantie die steeds meer weg heeft van een partnerschap tussen leverancier en project, in plaats van de ge\u00efntegreerde automobielgroep die ooit onder leiding van Carlos Ghosn voor ogen stond.
