{"id":190974,"date":"2026-08-06T12:15:34","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T10:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=190974"},"modified":"2026-08-06T11:31:49","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T09:31:49","slug":"kias-first-van-grabs-37-of-europes-small-electric-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/nl\/2026\/08\/06\/kias-first-van-grabs-37-of-europes-small-electric-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Kia\u2019s eerste bestelwagen verovert 37% van de Europese markt voor kleine elektrische auto\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kia heeft nog maar net zijn intrede gedaan op de Europese markt voor bedrijfsvoertuigen, maar zijn eerste elektrische bestelwagen verkoopt nu al beter dan modellen van fabrikanten met tientallen jaren ervaring.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens cijfers van Kia UK had de PV5 een marktaandeel van 37% in het Europese segment van volledig elektrische kleine bestelwagens en stond hij op de eerste plaats in 12 landen, waaronder Duitsland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk.<\/p>\n<h4>Alleen elektrische modellen uit het C-segment<\/h4>\n<p>Dit cijfer moet in de juiste context worden gezien. Het betekent niet dat meer dan \u00e9\u00e9n op de drie in Europa verkochte elektrische bestelwagens van het merk Kia is. De bewering heeft specifiek betrekking op het elektrische C-segment, terwijl de openbare rapporten van de ACEA geen ranglijsten per model publiceren. Het cijfer 37% moet daarom worden beschouwd als Kia\u2019s interpretatie van de Europese registratiegegevens en niet als een direct verifieerbare tabel van de ACEA.<\/p>\n<p>Toch valt de opmars van de PV5 moeilijk te negeren. In Groot-Brittanni\u00eb heeft Kia in de eerste zeven maanden van 2026 3.239 PV5 Cargo-bestelwagens en 1.141 personenauto\u2019s geregistreerd.<\/p>\n<p>De Cargo werd de best verkochte elektrische bestelwagen van het land en hielp Kia de derde plaats te veroveren op de Britse markt voor elektrische lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen. Alleen al in juli werden 784 Cargo- en 235 passagiersversies geregistreerd.<\/p>\n<p>Dat is opmerkelijk voor een merk dat nog geen gevestigde positie heeft op de Europese bestelwagenmarkt. Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Ford, Peugeot, Citro\u00ebn, Opel en Volkswagen beschikken al over uitgebreide dealernetwerken, wagenparkcontracten en jarenlange ervaring met zakelijke klanten. Kia heeft zich op hun terrein begeven met een product dat vanaf het begin is ontwikkeld als elektrische auto.<\/p>\n<h4>Speciaal ontwikkeld E-GMP.S-platform<\/h4>\n<p>Het speciale E-GMP.S-platform is waarschijnlijk het grootste pluspunt. Met de accu onder een vlakke vloer biedt de 4,70 meter lange Cargo 4,4 kubieke meter laadruimte, plaats voor twee europallets en een laaddrempel van slechts 419 millimeter hoog. De versie met standaardbereik kan tot 790 kilogram vervoeren, hoewel het laadvermogen bij de grotere accu daalt tot 690 kilogram.<\/p>\n<p>Die accu van 71,2 kWh biedt een WLTP-actieradius tot 416 kilometer en kan in ongeveer 30 minuten van 10 tot 80% worden opgeladen. De Mercedes eCitan haalt ongeveer 283 kilometer, de Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech 308 kilometer en de vernieuwde Ford E-Transit Courier zo'n 325 tot 334 kilometer.<\/p>\n<p>De Opel Combo Electric, die nauw verwant is aan de Peugeot E-Partner en de Citro\u00ebn \u00eb-Berlingo, heeft een actieradius van maximaal 343 kilometer en biedt dezelfde maximale laadruimte van 4,4 kubieke meter als de Kia.<\/p>\n<p>De ID. Buzz Cargo van Volkswagen komt qua actieradius en ontwerp als pure elektrische bestelwagen het dichtst in de buurt, maar biedt 3,9 kubieke meter laadruimte en een maximaal laadvermogen van ongeveer 650 kilogram. Grotere bestelwagens zoals de Ford E-Transit Custom, Mercedes eVito en Renault Trafic E-Tech bieden meer laadvolume en laadvermogen, maar behoren tot de klasse daarboven.<\/p>\n<h4>Niet de goedkoopste van Europa<\/h4>\n<p>De Kia is niet per se de goedkoopste elektrische bestelwagen van Europa. Renault en de merken van Stellantis adverteren regelmatig met lagere instapprijzen, met name voor kortere uitvoeringen en modellen met korting voor wagenparken.<\/p>\n<p>In Belgi\u00eb is de PV5 Cargo verkrijgbaar vanaf ongeveer \u20ac 32.425 exclusief btw. Zijn aantrekkingskracht ligt niet zozeer in de voordelige prijs, maar veeleer in de combinatie van actieradius, bruikbare ruimte, laadsnelheid en uitrusting.<\/p>\n<p>Kia brengt ook meer op de markt dan alleen een conventionele bestelwagen. De PV5 is verkrijgbaar als Cargo, Passenger en Chassis Cab, en later volgen ook versies als Crew Van, met hoog dak en ombouwversies. Het bedrijf heeft plannen voor meer dan 40 PBV-carrosserievarianten, waarbij de grotere PV7 in 2027 en de PV9 in 2029 op de markt komen.<\/p>\n<p>Er zijn wel enkele nadelen. Het laadvermogen van de PV5 met groot bereik is slechts gemiddeld, het trekvermogen van 750 kilogram is bescheiden en de laadvloer van 2,26 meter is niet voor elke aannemer geschikt. Voor zwaar werk blijft een middelgrote bestelwagen het betere gereedschap.<\/p>\n<p>Voor veel wagenparken biedt de PV5 echter een handige middenweg. Hij is compact genoeg voor werkzaamheden in de stad, groot genoeg voor serieuze leveringen en kan een hele werkdag doorrijden zonder op te laden.
