BYD heeft officieel de Fang Cheng Bao Ti9 onthuld, een gigantische plug-in hybride SUV met zes zitplaatsen. De auto is uitgerust met twee elektromotoren van 200 kW, een accu van 66,5 kWh en een voor Europa bijzonder interessant gegeven: het maximaal toegestane gewicht bedraagt 3.495 kg, slechts vijf kilogram onder de limiet van 3,5 ton voor een standaard rijbewijs van categorie B.<\/p>

Voorlopig is de Ti9 een model voor de Chinese markt, en BYD heeft nog niet bevestigd dat het model ook in Europa, Belgi\u00eb of Nederland op de markt zal komen.
