ADe luchtkwaliteit in Londen is aanzienlijk verbeterd sinds de uitbreiding van de Ultra-Low-Emission Zone \u2013 een gebied in de stad waar vervuilende voertuigen een heffing moeten betalen om er te mogen rijden.<\/span><\/p>

De ULEZ werd in 2019 voor het eerst ingesteld onder de huidige burgemeester van Londen, Sadiq Khan, werd in 2021 en 2023 uitgebreid en bestrijkt nu heel Groot-Londen, waar ongeveer 9 miljoen mensen wonen.
