Het Britse automagazine AutoExpress heeft alle 161 elektrische auto\u2019s die momenteel op de Britse markt verkrijgbaar zijn gerangschikt, en de ietwat verrassende (of toch niet?) winnaar is de nieuwe Nissan Leaf.<\/p>\n

Het tijdschrift stelde zijn testrijders een volledige lijst ter beschikking van alle elektrische auto\u2019s die in het Verenigd Koninkrijk te koop zijn, en vroeg hen elk model op basis van zijn eigen verdiensten te beoordelen. De gids benadrukt het reeds enorme aanbod aan elektrische auto\u2019s waaruit autokopers zich tegenwoordig in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en in de hele EU kunnen kiezen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2026 is er echt voor iedereen een elektrische auto die bij hem of haar past, en wij zijn er om je te helpen de juiste voor jou te vinden,\u201d zo schrijft AutoExpress aan zijn lezers. We zetten hier kort de top tien op een rijtje.<\/p>\n

Nissan Leaf op nummer \u00e9\u00e9n<\/h4>\n

We hebben nog niet de kans gehad om met deze auto te rijden, maar we zijn ervan overtuigd dat Nissan, de pionier op het gebied van elektrische auto\u2019s met zijn eerste Leaf (in 2010), een van de bedrijven is die elektrische auto\u2019s goed begrijpt.<\/p>\n

AutoExpress motiveert zijn keuze als volgt: \u201cDe gloednieuwe Nissan Leaf van de derde generatie steekt in onze ogen met kop en schouders boven alle andere uit. Wij vinden zelfs dat deze uitmuntende elektrische gezinsauto een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding biedt en op elk vlak precies de juiste balans vindt; het is de beste nieuwe auto die momenteel te koop is. Of het nu een elektrische auto is of niet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Persoonlijk denken we dat het feit dat deze auto wordt gebouwd in de enorme Nissan-fabriek in Sunderland in het Verenigd Koninkrijk hier ook een rol heeft gespeeld. In het verleden hebben onze gewaardeerde collega\u2019s van de Britse autopers zich ook onderscheiden als echte voorstanders van de Britse auto-industrie. Maar dat kun je ze niet kwalijk nemen; autojournalisten in elk land waar auto\u2019s worden geproduceerd, zijn geneigd tot dezelfde reactie.<\/p>\n

Top vijf<\/h4>\n

Nummer twee is onze favoriete elektrische auto van dit moment<\/a>, de BMW iX3. Wij vinden dat omdat hij bijna alles biedt wat je van een auto mag verwachten, maar daar hangt natuurlijk wel een prijskaartje aan. \u201cDe nieuwe BMW iX3 laat het ware potentieel zien van een schone lei\u201d, aldus AutoExpress, en dat is precies wat BMW heeft gedaan met de ontwikkeling van zijn \u2018Neue Klasse\u2019.<\/p>\n

Op de derde plaats staat een zeer goede en duidelijk ondergewaardeerde auto: de \u0160koda Elroq. \u201cSoms zijn de eenvoudigste idee\u00ebn de beste, en de \u0160koda Elroq bewijst dat\u201d, aldus AutoExpress. Op nummer vier staat volgens AutoExpress de Cupra Raval, \u201cde bad boy van de klasse van de kleine auto\u2019s\u201d, zoals AutoExpress hem noemt, en op de vijfde plaats staat nog een geweldige elektrische auto, de Mercedes CLA: \u201cDe nieuwe Mercedes CLA heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de driepuntige ster in de wereld van elektrische auto\u2019s in een oogwenk van achterblijver ten opzichte van zijn rivalen is uitgegroeid tot koploper\u201d, aldus AutoExpress.<\/p>\n

Weer een uitstekende vijf<\/h4>\n

De zesde plaats wordt ingenomen door een verrassende elektrische auto: de Kia PV5. AutoExpress ziet deze slim ontworpen bestelwagen als het bewijs dat een SUV niet de enige optie is voor wie op zoek is naar praktische bruikbaarheid, en daar zijn wij het volledig mee eens. De zevende plaats wordt ingenomen door de nieuwe Volvo EX60, omdat \u201chet een van de weinige recente modellen is die echt als \u2018next-gen\u2019 aanvoelt\u201d, aldus AutoExpress.<\/p>\n

Op de achtste plaats staat Tesla\u2019s onvermoeibare Model 3, volgens AutoExpress \u201cde elektrische auto bij uitstek\u201d, terwijl nummer negen ook een kleine verrassing is: AutoExpress beschouwt de Renault 4 als \u201cmisschien wel de verstandigere keuze voor de meeste mensen, als je tenminste de onweerstaanbare charme van de R5 kunt weerstaan (die op\u2026 de 11e plaats staat).<\/p>\n

Last but not least staat er op plaats 10 nog een uitstekende auto: de Kia EV3. \u201cVoldoende ruimte, een toereikende actieradius en goed comfort maken dit tot een fantastische gezinsauto\u201d, oordeelt AutoExpress, en daar zijn wij het volledig mee eens.<\/p>\n

Het opstellen van een ranglijst houdt altijd een combinatie in van feitelijke gegevens en meningen, en de ranglijst van AutoExpress illustreert dit. Het blijft interessant om te zien hoe snel het aanbod aan elektrische voertuigen de laatste tijd is gegroeid en hoe snel de ontwikkeling verloopt op het gebied van prestaties, actieradius, comfort en, niet in de laatste plaats, betaalbaarheid.
