De Belgische speed-pedelec-startup Specter is begonnen met de productie van zijn tweede generatie, de Specter 2, die een actieradius van maximaal 200 kilometer en tweewielaandrijving belooft.\u00a0Maar de echte prestatie is misschien minder spectaculair dan die opvallende cijfers: Specter heeft een manier gevonden om een groot deel van de technologie van zijn eerste generatie, die meer dan 10.000 euro kostte, aanzienlijk betaalbaarder te maken, terwijl de frameproductie weer naar Belgi\u00eb is teruggehaald.<\/p>

Het concept van twee motoren is op zich niet nieuw. Newmobility.news berichtte al in 2019 over de (eveneens Belgische) Ellio en in 2023 over de Specter 1 Long Range, die eveneens een middenmotor combineerde met een voorwielmotor en een accu van 1.200 Wh voor een actieradius tot 170 km. Dat model kostte \u20ac 10.690. De nieuwe Specter 2 Long Range is verkrijgbaar vanaf \u20ac 7.490, ongeveer \u20ac 3.200 minder, terwijl de accucapaciteit is toegenomen tot 1.440 Wh en het opgegeven maximale bereik is gestegen tot 200 km.<\/p>
