Een maand na de onthulling van de technologie achter de nieuwe A2 e-tron heeft Audi de misschien wel belangrijkste vraag beantwoord: wat gaat het nieuwe elektrische instapmodel eigenlijk kosten? In Belgi\u00eb beginnen de prijzen bij 38.450 euro, terwijl de versie met het opvallende WLTP-bereik van 646 kilometer 48.550 euro kost.<\/p>\n

Dat plaatst de A2 e-tron in een interessante positie. Hij is duidelijk duurder dan de Volkswagen ID.3 Neo, waarmee hij technisch gezien nauw verwant is, maar de meerprijs die aan de vier ringen kleeft, valt kleiner uit dan men zou verwachten. Wat voor Audi nog belangrijker is: de A2 verlaagt de financi\u00eble drempel voor de instap in zijn elektrische modellengamma aanzienlijk.<\/p>\n

Toen we de A2 e-tron in augustus onder de loep namen, had Audi zijn belangrijkste technische troef al onthuld: een uitzonderlijk laag verbruik.<\/p>\n

De 140 kW-versie met een optioneel effici\u00ebntiepakket haalt volgens WLTP-metingen 12,8 kWh\/100 km, mede dankzij een luchtweerstandsco\u00ebffici\u00ebnt van slechts 0,24. Wat nog onduidelijk was, was of Audi de prijs van dat effici\u00ebntiemodel agressief genoeg zou vaststellen om er een volwaardig volumemodel van te maken. Nu hebben we het antwoord.<\/p>\n

Vier uitvoeringen vanaf \u20ac 38.450<\/h4>\n

Het Belgische assortiment begint met een achterwielaangedreven versie van 125 kW met een LFP-accu van 52 kWh. Deze biedt een WLTP-actieradius tot 423 km en kost \u20ac 38.450. Het maximale DC-laadvermogen ligt op een relatief bescheiden 100 kW, maar volgens Audi duurt het opladen van 10 tot 80 % nog steeds slechts 24 minuten.<\/p>\n

Daarboven staat de 140 kW-versie met een grotere LFP-accu van 61 kWh, een actieradius van 515 km en een prijskaartje van \u20ac 42.950. Het snelladen neemt slechts licht toe tot 105 kW, terwijl hetzelfde laadproces 26 minuten duurt.<\/p>\n

Audi A2 e-tron<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

De meest aantrekkelijke optie is waarschijnlijk de A2 e-tron van \u20ac 48.550 met 170 kW en de grotere NMC-accu van 84 kWh. De WLTP-actieradius bedraagt 646 km, terwijl het gelijkstroomlaadvermogen aanzienlijk is toegenomen tot 183 kW. Het opladen van 10 tot 80% duurt 29 minuten.<\/p>\n

Tot slot kost het vlaggenschip van 240 kW met 545 Nm, een acceleratie van 0 naar 100 km\/u in 5,7 seconden en een topsnelheid van 200 km\/u \u20ac 51.350. Die prestaties hebben wel een prijs: de auto haalt 630 km op dezelfde 84 kWh-accu.<\/p>\n

Hoe duur is de Audi-premie?<\/h4>\n

De vergelijking met Volkswagen is veelzeggend. De nieuwe ID.3 Neo Trend, eveneens met 170 pk en een accucapaciteit van ongeveer 50 kWh, heeft in Belgi\u00eb een catalogusprijs van \u20ac 34.990 en biedt een actieradius van ongeveer 417 km volgens de WLTP-norm. Audi vraagt dus slechts ongeveer \u20ac 3.500 extra op de catalogusprijs voor zijn instapmodel A2.<\/p>\n

Volkswagen biedt de ID.3 momenteel aan voor \u20ac 32.790, waardoor het daadwerkelijke prijsverschil groter wordt, maar de A2 ligt niettemin ver verwijderd van de gebruikelijke prijskloof bij premiummerken. De ID.3 Neo zelf haalt in de uitvoeringen met een grotere accu een actieradius van ongeveer 627 km en een laadvermogen van 183 kW.<\/p>\n

Andere premium-alternatieven laten zien waarom de positionering van Audi van belang is. De kleinere EX30 van Volvo is in Belgi\u00eb verkrijgbaar vanaf \u20ac 36.270, terwijl de BMW iX1 nu ongeveer \u20ac 51.200 kost. Mercedes vraagt \u20ac 49.610 voor de elektrische CLA.<\/p>\n

De Mercedes biedt ook een interessante realiteitscheck voor de bewering van Audi over effici\u00ebntie. De A2 is misschien wel de zuinigste Audi ooit, maar niet per se de zuinigste premium-EV.<\/p>\n

Mercedes geeft voor de CLA 200 Electric een verbruik op van slechts 12,7 kWh\/100 km, vergeleken met de 12,8 kWh\/100 km van Audi. De CLA kan bovendien opladen met een vermogen tot 320 kW en biedt in de configuratie die het meest op actieradius is gericht een actieradius tot 791 km, hoewel het een aanzienlijk grotere en duurdere auto is.<\/p>\n

Audi heeft inmiddels aanzienlijk meer bekendgemaakt over wat kopers voor hun geld krijgen. De wielbasis van 2,77 meter zorgt voor een verrassend ruime cabine, terwijl de bagageruimte 396 liter biedt, of 1.336 liter als de achterbank is neergeklapt. Het dashboard combineert een digitaal instrumentenpaneel van 11,9 inch met een gebogen touchscreen van 12,8 inch.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast is er een nieuw modulair Fidlock-bevestigingssysteem voor bekerhouders, tassen en oplaadaccessoires, terwijl meer dan 300 onderdelen gerecycled staal, aluminium of kunststof bevatten. De productie vindt plaats in Ingolstadt, naast die van de A3 met verbrandingsmotor.<\/p>\n

De A2 ondersteunt ook Vehicle-to-Load, waardoor de accu externe apparaten van stroom kan voorzien. Belgische kopers moeten dit echter nog niet verwarren met Vehicle-to-Home. Audi heeft eerder bevestigd dat V2H beschikbaar zal zijn in Duitsland, Oostenrijk en Zwitserland, maar in de informatie over de lancering in Belgi\u00eb wordt expliciet alleen V2L genoemd.<\/p>\n

De bestellingen gaan dit najaar van start, en de eerste leveringen in Belgi\u00eb staan gepland voor december. De originele A2 werd bekend als een technisch ingenieus maar commercieel moeilijk model.<\/p>\n

Ruim twee decennia later lijkt Audi vastbesloten om niet dezelfde fout te maken. Met een prijs van 38.450 euro is de nieuwe A2 e-tron nog steeds onmiskenbaar een premium-EV \u2013 maar, misschien verrassend genoeg, niet geprijsd als een extravagante.<\/p>\n
