Fastned heeft officieel zijn grootste laadstation in Walloni\u00eb in gebruik genomen, met twaalf ultrasnelle laadpunten langs de E411 bij Libin.<\/p>\n

Maar achter de nieuwe gele overkapping gaat een ander verhaal schuil: de realisatie van het ambitieuze Fastned-IDELUX-netwerk, dat twee jaar geleden werd aangekondigd, duurt aanzienlijk langer dan aanvankelijk gepland \u2013 en een van de oorspronkelijke elf locaties is van de lijst verdwenen.<\/p>\n

Het nieuwe Libin Galaxia-station, vlakbij het Euro Space Center, beschikt over twaalf oplaadpunten met een vermogen tot 400 kW. Volgens Fastned kunnen compatibele auto\u2019s tijdens een korte stop hun actieradius met honderden kilometers vergroten.<\/p>\n

Winkels en eetgelegenheden<\/h4>\n

Op het terrein bevinden zich ook een winkel, eetgelegenheden, toiletten en een ontspanningsruimte. In het verlengde van het ruimtethema van de buurman heeft Fastned zelfs een speeltuin en een ontdekkingsparcours aangelegd.<\/p>\n

Hoewel het station op 8 september officieel werd geopend, is het zelf niet helemaal nieuw. Het was al in mei in gebruik genomen, toen de lokale omroep TV Lux meldde dat de eerste automobilisten er gebruik van maakten.<\/p>\n

De omvang ervan is niettemin aanzienlijk. Toen IDELUX in november 2024 zijn samenwerking met Fastned aankondigde, werd vermeld dat de stations in eerste instantie maximaal 8 oplaadpunten zouden bieden. Libin heeft er nu twaalf, wat erop wijst dat Fastned zich nu al voorbereidt op een aanzienlijk hoger toekomstig EV-verkeer.<\/p>\n

Elf werd tien<\/h4>\n

De meest opvallende verandering betreft de verdere uitbreiding. In november 2024 kondigde IDELUX 11 nieuwe Fastned-stations aan in de provincie Luxemburg.<\/p>\n

De bouw zou in de zomer van 2025 van start gaan en in latere mededelingen gaf IDELUX aan dat het volledige netwerk tegen de zomer van 2026 operationeel zou moeten zijn.<\/p>\n

Tot de oorspronkelijke locaties behoorden Libin, Arlon, Aubange, Bastogne, Houffalize, L\u00e9glise, Marche-en-Famenne, Neufch\u00e2teau, Barri\u00e8re Hinck, Bertrix en Virton. Dat tijdschema is duidelijk in het gedrang gekomen.<\/p>\n

Fastned geeft nu aan dat de samenwerking tien laadstations omvat. De stations in L\u00e9glise, Libin en Houffalize zijn voltooid, terwijl die in Arlon, Aubange, Bertrix, Marche-en-Famenne, Neufch\u00e2teau, Sainte-Ode\/Barri\u00e8re Hinck en Virton \u201cin de komende jaren\u201d nog zullen volgen. Bastogne wordt niet meer genoemd.<\/p>\n

Noch Fastned, noch IDELUX geeft een openbare toelichting op de inkrimping van elf naar tien locaties of het verdwijnen van Bastogne.<\/p>\n

De vertraging is ook aanzienlijk in vergelijking met eerdere verwachtingen. In het jaarverslag van IDELUX over 2024 werd nog uitgegaan van een opening van L\u00e9glise eind 2025, gevolgd door de overige stations in de eerste helft van 2026.<\/p>\n

Netwerkaansluitingen, vergunningen en locatiespecifieke infrastructuur kunnen ervoor zorgen dat het plannen van snellaadprojecten notoir lastig is.<\/p>\n

De Waalse minister van Mobiliteit, Fran\u00e7ois Desquesnes, heeft onlangs in het kader van een ander laadprogramma erkend dat de uitrol deels afhangt van de beschikbare netcapaciteit en van eventuele versterkingswerkzaamheden die door de distributienetbeheerders moeten worden uitgevoerd. Dat verklaart echter niet specifiek de wijzigingen in het Fastned-IDELUX-programma.<\/p>\n

Walloni\u00eb haalt snel zijn achterstand in<\/h4>\n

Ook de omgeving waarin Fastned zich uitbreidt, is aanzienlijk veranderd. Toen het IDELUX-partnerschap van start ging, was het gebrek aan snelladers op het platteland van Walloni\u00eb een centraal argument.<\/p>\n

De achterstand is nog niet verdwenen, maar de laadinfrastructuur breidt zich nu snel uit. Volgens cijfers van de Waalse regering telde de provincie Luxemburg in februari alleen al 1.757 openbare laadpunten op 616 locaties, waaronder 123 snelladers en 190 ultrasnelle laders.<\/p>\n

In heel Belgi\u00eb telde EV Belgium eind juni 2026 126.045 openbare oplaadpunten, bijna 20.000 meer dan zes maanden eerder. Walloni\u00eb was een van de regio\u2019s met de sterkste groei.<\/p>\n

Voor Fastned sluit Libin ook aan bij de bredere strategie die in de meest recente financi\u00eble resultaten is uiteengezet. Het bedrijf maakt de overstap van relatief eenvoudige oplaadpunten naar grotere hubs langs de weg met winkels, toiletten en andere voorzieningen, terwijl Belgi\u00eb zich ontwikkelt tot een van zijn belangrijkste Europese groeimarkten.<\/p>\n

Als Newmobility.news meldde vorige maand<\/a>, De volgroeide laadstations van Fastned genereren in toenemende mate de middelen die nodig zijn om die uitbreiding te financieren. De omzet uit het laden steeg in de eerste helft van 2026 met 40% tot 75,1 miljoen euro, terwijl de bedrijfswinst uit het laadnetwerk meer dan verdubbelde tot 37,4 miljoen euro.<\/p>\n

Libin laat zien hoe die volgende generatie stations eruit kan zien. De vraag is nu hoe snel de andere gele daken, die in de Ardennen zijn beloofd, daadwerkelijk zullen verschijnen.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
