Volkswagen bereidt de lancering voor van een versie met lange wielbasis van zijn ID. Buzz Cargo. De LWB-passagiersversie is al verkrijgbaar, maar nu volgt ook de bestelwagenversie.<\/p>\n

Tijdens een merkevenement in Berlijn heeft Volkswagen een versie met lange wielbasis van zijn elektrische bestelwagen ID. Buzz Cargo onthuld. De langere wielbasis biedt professionele gebruikers verschillende verbeteringen, waaronder een grotere laadruimte, meer accucapaciteit en een 4Motion-optie.<\/p>\n

Eindelijk bevestigd<\/b><\/h4>\n

Terwijl de LWB-versie van de ID. Buzz-personenauto reeds beschikbaar<\/a>, Volkswagen had de bijbehorende Cargo-variant nog niet aangekondigd. Maar nu is bevestigd dat deze later dit jaar in Belgi\u00eb op de markt komt en een van de hoogtepunten zal zijn op het Autosalon van Brussel in januari 2027.<\/p>\n

De ID. Buzz LWB is 4,96 meter lang, wat neerkomt op een toename van ongeveer 25 cm ten opzichte van de SWB. Hierdoor neemt de laadlengte toe tot 2,45 meter, terwijl het laadvolume stijgt tot 4,4 m3<\/sup>, vanaf 3,9 m3<\/sup>. Het laadvermogen zal echter lager uitvallen: het daalt van maximaal 750 kg naar 690 kg.<\/p>\n

Grotere accu en vierwielaandrijving<\/b><\/h4>\n

Op technisch vlak volgt de Cargo-versie het voorbeeld van de personenauto. Dit betekent dat de bestelwagen met lange wielbasis (LWB) ook verkrijgbaar zal zijn met een accupakket van 86 kWh (tot 79 kWh bij de korte wielbasis (SWB)). Een WLTP-actieradius is nog niet bevestigd, maar zal naar verwachting net onder de 500 km liggen, in lijn met de personenversie. Bovendien zal hij verkrijgbaar zijn in zowel versies met achterwielaandrijving als een nieuwe 4Motion-versie met vierwielaandrijving en een gecombineerd vermogen van 250 kW (340 pk).<\/p>\n

De LWB ID. Buzz Cargo wordt standaard geleverd met dubbele schuifdeuren. Daarnaast beschikt hij over technologische verbeteringen die eerder deze zomer zijn aangekondigd<\/a>. Hiertoe behoren het nieuwe Innovision-infotainmentsysteem, de Connected Travel Assist-cruisecontrol met verkeerslichtherkenning, een V2L-functie en een nieuw ontwerp voor het stuurwiel met fysieke knoppen.<\/p>\n

De concurrentie wordt steeds heviger<\/b><\/h4>\n

Het feit dat VW eindelijk een LWB-versie van zijn elektrische retrobus aankondigt, geeft aan dat de markt in beweging komt. De Kia PV5, uitgeroepen tot \u2018International VAN of the Year 2026\u2019, zorgt daarvoor hevige concurrentie in dit segment<\/a>. Met zijn 4,4 m3<\/sup> laadvolume: de ID. Buzz Cargo LWB zal qua laadvolume gelijk zijn aan de L2-versie van de PV5.<\/p>\n

De vraag is wat de prijs van de nieuwe LWB ID. Buzz zal zijn. Het model heeft een heel eigen karakter, maar heeft ook een redelijk hoog prijskaartje, vooral in vergelijking met de PV5. Met een langere wielbasis zou de prijs ook kunnen concurreren met die van VW\u2019s eigen e-Transporter. De elektrische VW Transporter heeft een lengte van 5,8 m3<\/sup> laadvolume in de L1-uitvoering, maar moet het doen met een kleinere accu die een kortere actieradius biedt, zelfs in de verbeterde versie<\/a>.<\/p>\n
