De nieuwe Pixo zal een modelnaam nieuw leven inblazen die in 2013 werd geschrapt. Kan Nissan indruk maken met zijn Japanse versie van de Renault Twingo E-Tech?\u00a0 <\/span>in het snelgroeiende segment van betaalbare elektrische auto\u2019s?<\/p>\n

Voor alle duidelijkheid: Nissan heeft de Pixo nog niet onthuld. Maar op Wereld-EV-dag bevestigde het Japanse merk wat iedereen al vermoedde: de naam Pixo keert terug als elektrische stadsauto dankzij de samenwerking met Renault. De accu\u2019s en de basisconstructie zijn dezelfde als die van de Renault Twingo E-Tech. De volledige onthulling staat gepland voor 23 september.<\/p>\n

Het toegangspunt aanvallen<\/h4>\n

Met de Pixo zal Nissan zich richten op het instapsegment waar het echte volume zich naartoe verplaatst. De stadsauto wordt gebouwd in de Renault-fabriek in Novo Mesto in Sloveni\u00eb, waardoor de autofabrikant de ontwikkelingskosten kan omzeilen die de winstgevendheid van kleine elektrische auto\u2019s onder druk zetten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dit scenario is natuurlijk niet nieuw. Deze tactiek met dubbele rol is dezelfde als bij de Renault 5 E-Tech en de Nissan Micra. Het delen van kosten en wederzijdse schaalvoordelen blijven een belangrijke strategie in een markt waar elke euro per kilowattuur telt.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dit betekent ook dat de EU-markt wordt voorzien van drie auto\u2019s die zijn gebaseerd op hetzelfde Ampr Small-platform dat de Renault-groep samen met haar divisie in Shanghai heeft ontwikkeld: naast de Pixo en de Twingo is ook de nieuwe Dacia Spring op dit platform gebaseerd.<\/p>\n

Afstand tot de dealer<\/h4>\n

Er worden bewust weinig details vrijgegeven. Maar net als bij de Micra lijkt het onwaarschijnlijk dat Nissan, afgezien van het ontwerp en de sfeer in het interieur, nog andere opvallende onderscheidende kenmerken zal toevoegen. Het gaat hier meer om de nabijheid van de dealer dan om de productidentiteit \u2013 hoewel Nissan de neiging heeft om extra te rekenen voor een luxere uitvoering met meer standaarduitrusting.<\/p>\n

We kunnen rekenen op de 27,5 kWh lithium-ijzerfosfaataccu uit de Twingo, die een voorin gemonteerde motor van 60 kW aandrijft, goed voor 82 pk en een actieradius tot 263 km volgens de WLTP-cyclus. Het maximale laadvermogen bedraagt 50 kW gelijkstroom, wat betekent dat het ongeveer een half uur duurt om de accu van 10 tot 80 procent op te laden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Het laadvermogen thuis bedraagt 6,6 kW, maar het zou ons niet verbazen als Nissan de 11 kW-lader van de optielijst naar de standaarduitrusting verplaatst.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De juiste timing<\/h4>\n

De Pixo wordt een conventionele stadsauto die voldoet aan de Europese veiligheids- en emissienormen. Hij zal niet voldoen aan de eisen van het \u2018made in Europe\u2019-project voor elektrische auto\u2019s, oftewel het EM1-project, waarvoor de Europese Commissie momenteel nog de laatste details uitwerkt.<\/p>\n

Toch is de timing goed gekozen. De markt voor betaalbare elektrische auto\u2019s is in Europa enorm in opmars. Zoals Newmobility.news meldde eerder<\/a>, de ID. Polo van Volkswagen heeft sinds april meer dan 30.000 bestellingen binnengehaald, waarbij de levertijd inmiddels is opgelopen tot tien maanden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Instructievideo's<\/h4>\n

Zelfs in Belgi\u00eb, waar zakelijke kopers nog steeds de boventoon voeren met premiummodellen van meer dan 40.000 euro, raken particuliere klanten steeds meer ge\u00efnteresseerd in goedkopere elektrische stadsauto\u2019s. Dit wijst duidelijk op de onmiskenbare boodschap dat deze doelgroep, die van cruciaal belang is voor een bredere acceptatie van BEV\u2019s, reikhalzend heeft uitgekeken naar betaalbare modellen.<\/p>\n

Nissan weet dat veel kopers van de Pixo nog helemaal nieuw zijn in deze wereld. Voordat het doek wordt opgelicht, heeft Nissan een informatieve opwarmer gelanceerd in de vorm van een vijfdelige YouTube-serie met de titel Een elektrische auto?
