Vlootaankopers hebben er nu een serieus alternatief bij: de Kia PV7 biedt meer laadruimte, een grotere actieradius en snellere oplaadtijden dan de huidige concurrenten in het middensegment. De langere versie bouwt voort op het succes van de PV5, die in korte tijd is uitgegroeid tot de best verkochte kleine elektrische bestelwagen van Europa.<\/p>\n

Kia heeft de PV7 onthuld op de IAA Transportation in Hannover. De XL-versie van de PV5 is 5,3 meter lang en is speciaal afgestemd op de kernmarkt voor lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen in Europa. De langste PV5 is de L2, die 4,7 meter meet.<\/p>\n

Grotere accu<\/h4>\n

De topversie van de PV7 is uitgerust met een accu van 96,2 kWh (niet beschikbaar op de PV5) en heeft een opgegeven actieradius van meer dan 460 kilometer. Ook nieuw is het 800-volt-laadvermogen, waarmee de accu in ongeveer 25 minuten van 10 tot 80 procent kan worden opgeladen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dat zou voldoende moeten zijn om de strijd aan te gaan met de Ford E-Transit Custom (342 km) of de binnenkort te vervangen Mercedes eVito (257 km), die een grotere actieradius hebben. De nieuwe Trafic E-Tech van Renault claimt een vergelijkbare actieradius van 450 kilometer, maar houd er rekening mee dat de opgegeven actieradius van de PV7 nog in de homologatiefase zit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bovendien zijn er slechts enkele voorlopige technische specificaties bekendgemaakt voor de grotere accu in de langere variant.<\/p>\n

De PV7 is het tweede model in Kia\u2019s speciale Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV)-serie, gebouwd op de E-GMP.S-architectuur die ook bij de PV5 wordt gebruikt. Deze modulaire basis vloeit voort uit een \u2018software-defined vehicle\u2019-benadering en maakt een breed scala aan toepassingen mogelijk, afgestemd op een grote verscheidenheid aan klantprofielen. Het model ondervindt minder beperkingen dan een omgebouwd platform voor voertuigen met verbrandingsmotor.<\/p>\n

Voor goederen of personen<\/h4>\n

Net als zijn kleinere broertje zal de PV7 zowel in een vracht- als in een personenvariant worden aangeboden, met naast de grotere accu ook een kleinere optie van 71,5 kWh. Beide accu\u2019s zijn van het NMC-type.<\/p>\n

Het maximale vermogen bedraagt 200 kW (272 pk, tegenover 163 pk voor de krachtigste PV5) en 420 Nm, dat naar de voorwielen wordt overgebracht. Een versie met vierwielaandrijving staat later op de planning. Het elektrische systeem ondersteunt snelladen met 350 kW gelijkstroom, en Kia heeft aan de achterzijde een tweede laadpoort toegevoegd voor wagenparkbeheerders die flexibiliteit nodig hebben in krappe laadruimtes.<\/p>\n

De laadruimte bedraagt 8,0 kubieke meter bij het model met hoog dak, en 6,1 kubieke meter bij de Cargo Long. Het laadvermogen van deze laatste bedraagt maximaal 1.165 kg. De laadvloer bevindt zich op 550 millimeter boven de grond, en de Long biedt plaats aan drie europallets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In totaal 23 varianten<\/h4>\n

De kortere Standard-versie werd niet onthuld op de IAA, maar volgt later. In totaal heeft Kia 23 varianten op het oog. Bovendien zal de PV7 in een later stadium worden aangevuld met een PV9 om mee te concurreren in het segment van de grote bestelwagens. Kia grijpt duidelijk de kans van elektrificatie aan om zijn stempel te drukken op het segment van de lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen.<\/p>\n

Maar terug naar de PV7. Bij de personenauto-uitvoering, die ook kan worden gezien als een alternatief voor een MPV voor grote gezinnen, is er keuze uit een versie met zeven zitplaatsen of een versie met negen zitplaatsen. In het laatste geval kan de vierde zitbank achterin ook worden weggelaten om meer laadruimte te cre\u00ebren. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Elektrisch gereedschap<\/h4>\n

Het ontwerp van de PV7 neemt de meeste snufjes van zijn kleinere broertje over, maar is direct herkenbaar aan de koplampen aan de voorkant, die een L-vorm hebben. Ook het interieur lijkt sterk op dat van de PV7, met een centraal infotainmentscherm van 14,6 inch als belangrijkste bedieningssysteem.<\/p>\n

In de personenversie vervangt een tweekleurig interieur de zwarte inrichting van de bestelversie. Deze laatste beschikt echter over extra opbergvakken en een neerklapbare middelste zitplaats, waarmee een werktafel voor de bestuurder kan worden gecre\u00eberd. Dankzij de \u2018vehicle-to-load\u2019-functionaliteit kunnen werknemers hun gereedschap van stroom voorzien via de accu van de bestelwagen. Er is ook een speciale rijmodus voorzien om stabiliteit bij zware ladingen te garanderen. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
