Volkswagen heeft de ID.3 GTI onthuld, gebaseerd op de ID.3 Neo<\/a>. Wanneer het in het voorjaar van 2027 op de markt komt, zal het de tweede elektrische GTI van het merk zijn, na de Polo<\/a>, en de krachtigste GTI die ooit is gemaakt.<\/p>\n

Het wordt ook de allereerste GTI met achterwielaandrijving. De ID.3 GTI maakt gebruik van het MEB+-platform van VW met een elektromotor van 240 kW (326 pk) en 545 Nm op de achteras, waarmee hij het vermogensniveau van de Prestaties van de pre-Neo GTX<\/a> model. Veren, schokdempers, stabilisatorstangen en banden zijn speciaal afgestemd op de ID.3 GTI.<\/p>\n

De ID.3 GTI accelereert in 5,6 seconden van 0 naar 100 km\/u in de nieuwe GTI-modus met launch control en haalt een topsnelheid van 200 km\/u. De 79 kWh-accu geeft de auto een WLTP-actieradius van 601 km, terwijl de DC-laadcapaciteit van 183 kW de accu in minder dan 30 minuten van 0 tot 80% oplaadt. Ook hier geen verrassingen in vergelijking met het vorige GTX-model.<\/p>\n

Verwijzingen naar eerdere GTI-modellen<\/b><\/h4>\n

Wat de ID.3 GTI zo bijzonder maakt, is het uiterlijk dat verwijst naar eerdere GTI-modellen, zoals de iconische Golf GTI, die precies 60 jaar geleden op de markt kwam. Op het eerste gezicht springen vooral het GTI-logo en de rode strepen op de neus in het oog, net boven de LED-lichtbalk die de koplampen met elkaar verbindt. Bij de eerste generatie Golf GTI omringde deze de grille, en sindsdien is het een herkenbaar kenmerk van de GTI gebleven.<\/p>\n

Het rooster in het onderste deel van de bumper heeft een honingraatpatroon dat doet denken aan dat van de huidige Golf GTI. Het bevat twee verticale rode elementen die lijken op de trekogen die bij raceauto\u2019s worden gebruikt.<\/p>\n

De nieuwe 20-inch lichtmetalen velgen zijn nog een knipoog naar de iconische status van het GTI-logo. Ze dragen de naam W\u00f6rthersee, een eerbetoon aan het legendarische GTI-evenement dat plaatsvindt aan het gelijknamige Oostenrijkse meer.<\/p>\n

De look wordt afgerond met zwarte spiegelkappen, terwijl de rest van de auto meer details in carrosseriekleur heeft dan de zwarte accenten op de GTX die hij vervangt. Kopers van de ID.3 GTI kunnen kiezen uit 5 kleuren: Tornado Red effen, Moonstone Grey effen, Scale Silver metallic, Grenadilla Black metallic en Glacier White metallic.<\/p>\n

GTI-modus<\/b><\/h4>\n

In het interieur heeft Volkswagen een verlichte GTI-knop in het onderste deel van het stuurwiel ge\u00efntegreerd. Als je hierop drukt, wordt het rijprofiel \u2018GTI Mode\u2019 geactiveerd. Dit be\u00efnvloedt de gasrespons, de besturing en het adaptieve DCC-sportchassis, waardoor de auto sneller reageert en de launch control beschikbaar wordt.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast voegt het tijdens het rijden het geluid van een verbrandingsmotor toe en verandert het de kleur van de wijzerplaat in rood. Deze kleur komt overal in het interieur van de ID.3 GTI terug, bijvoorbeeld in de GTI-specifieke stoelen. De stoelen verwijzen ook naar de originele Golf GTI met hun \u2018Superclark\u2019-patroon, dat een nieuwe interpretatie is van het tartanruitpatroon van de auto waarmee de GTI-legende begon.<\/p>\n

Technologisch up-to-date<\/b><\/h4>\n

De ID.3 mag dan wel sportief zijn, maar het is geen uitgeklede auto. Het interieur is voorzien van een 10,25-inch digitaal dashboard, dat het kleinere digitale instrumentenpaneel van de GTX vervangt, en een 12,9-inch touchscreen in het midden. Net als de rest van de ID.3 Neo-serie biedt ook de GTI meer fysieke knoppen, bijvoorbeeld voor de bediening van de klimaatregeling en het multimediasysteem.<\/p>\n
