Geely Auto Benelux breidt zijn netwerk uit met twee nieuwe Belgische dealers. Deze uitbreiding valt samen met de introductie van de E2, een elektrische hatchback van minder dan 20.000 euro die de westerse merken in Europa flink concurrentie gaat bieden.<\/p>\n

Nivelles en Genk<\/h4>\n

In de zes maanden sinds het Chinese merk \u2013 dat deel uitmaakt van de gelijknamige holding die onder meer ook eigenaar is van Volvo, Polestar en Zeekr \u2013 zijn intrede deed op de Belgische markt, is het lokale netwerk uitgegroeid tot 16 vestigingen.<\/p>\n

De nieuwste toevoegingen zijn een vierde Car Avenue-vestiging in Nivelles, Waals-Brabant, en een nieuwe samenwerking met Di Nitto Autogroep voor de regio Limburg. Di Nitto Autogroep zal een vast verkooppunt openen in Dilsen-Stokkem en een pop-upwinkel in het winkelcentrum van Genk, waarna een speciale aftersales-vestiging en een showroom zullen volgen.<\/p>\n

5 landen in 48 uur<\/h4>\n

In zijn offici\u00eble persbericht meldt Geely dat zijn netwerk zich nu uitstrekt van Arlon tot Oostende en van Brussel tot Bergen. Dat is een snelle uitbreiding voor een merk dat pas in maart 2026 in Belgi\u00eb van start ging. De snelheid waarmee het bedrijf te werk gaat, blijft indrukwekkend. Destijds breidde het zich binnen 48 uur uit naar vijf landen.<\/p>\n

Deze uitbreiding van het dealernetwerk vormt de volgende stap in een veel groter plan. Geely streeft ernaar om tegen eind 2026 ongeveer 35 verkoop- en servicelocaties in de Benelux te hebben.<\/p>\n

Het bedrijf heeft bovendien in Amsterdam een Europees distributiecentrum voor reserveonderdelen opgezet om het leveringsprobleem aan te pakken waarmee veel concurrerende merken die de Europese markt zijn betreden, te kampen hebben. Dat centrum speelt een belangrijke rol, aangezien het merk op zijn gehele assortiment een garantie van acht jaar of 200.000 km biedt.<\/p>\n

Gemaakt in Belgi\u00eb?<\/h4>\n

Voor de Belgische markt speelt er een specifieke industri\u00eble dimensie mee. Het gerucht gaat dat Geely een van de merken is die zou kunnen helpen om de orderportefeuille van de Volvo-fabriek in Gent te vullen.<\/p>\n

Vorige week heeft de Zweeds merk aangekondigd<\/a> dat de vestiging officieel een contractproductielocatie zou worden, waar voor derden zou worden geproduceerd. Uit een \u201cwachtlijst met kandidaten\u201d was al een keuze gemaakt, maar deze was nog niet officieel bekendgemaakt.<\/p>\n

Het vlaggenschipmodel van Geely is momenteel de E2. In Belgi\u00eb kost deze \u20ac 19.490, waarmee het een van de goedkoopste elektrische auto\u2019s op de markt is. Het zal interessant zijn om te zien of de compacte hatchback, die in China als de Xingyuan wordt verkocht, zijn succes in eigen land kan herhalen, waar hij in 2025 met 465.775 registraties de best verkochte elektrische auto was.<\/p>\n

Die aantrekkelijke prijs is te danken aan twee lithium-ijzerfosfaataccu\u2019s, die een actieradius van 252 (35 kWh) of 345 kilometer (47 kWh) bieden. Snelladen van 30 tot 80% zou in minder dan 20 minuten moeten lukken.<\/p>\n

Drie modellen<\/h4>\n

Naast de E2 omvat het Belgische aanbod van het merk ook de E5 SUV met een WLTP-actieradius tot 475 km en de Starray EM-i plug-in hybride, die 136 km volledig elektrisch kan rijden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Die productmix is bewust gekozen. De E2 richt zich op particuliere kopers in het lagere segment van de markt voor elektrische auto\u2019s, terwijl de andere twee modellen concurreren in de compacte en middelgrote segmenten met grotere verkoopvolumes, waar de belastingregeling voor bedrijfsauto\u2019s en de berekeningen van de totale eigendomskosten (TCO) het belangrijkst zijn.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
