De Chinese autofabrikant Leapmotor schrapt de 12-voltaccu uit zijn toekomstige elektrische auto\u2019s en vertrouwt voortaan uitsluitend op de hoogspanningsaccu. Deze nieuwe aanpak maakt deel uit van een bredere herziening van de technische architectuur van het bedrijf, waardoor de binnenruimte van de auto\u2019s groter wordt. <\/b><\/p>\n

Hoewel elektrische auto\u2019s een hoogspanningsaccu hebben om hun elektromotor(en) van stroom te voorzien, beschikken ze ook over een traditionele 12-voltaccu, net als auto\u2019s met een verbrandingsmotor. Deze kleine accu voorziet het elektrische systeem aan boord van stroom. Hij voedt onder andere de deursloten, verlichting en ruitenwissers, en ook de contacten die het hoogspanningssysteem isoleren wanneer de auto niet in gebruik is.<\/p>\n

Maar 12V-accu\u2019s behoren ook tot de meest voorkomende oorzaken van pech, zelfs bij elektrische auto\u2019s. Dat blijkt uit cijfers van mobiliteitsorganisaties zoals de Duitse ADAC en de Nederlandse ANWB. Dat is een van de redenen \u2013 naast het vereenvoudigen van het systeem en ruimtebesparing \u2013 waarom Leapmotor de hoogspanningsaccu de taken van de 12V-accu wil laten overnemen.<\/p>\n

Nieuwe batterijtechnologie<\/b><\/h4>\n

De overstap naar het afschaffen van de 12-voltaccu gaat in bij de nieuwe modellen die in 2027 worden onthuld. Leapmotor maakte dit bekend tijdens zijn Tech Day in Huzhou. De Chinese autofabrikant schrapt niet het laagspanningssysteem van de auto, maar alleen de 12-volt-accu zelf. De \u2018grote\u2019 accu van de auto zal de functie ervan overnemen.<\/p>\n

De accu die deze technische prestatie mogelijk maakt, is de Leapmotor CTC 3.0 High-Low Fusion-accu. De cellen zijn rechtstreeks in het chassis ingebouwd (CTC) en kunnen zowel hoogspanningsstroom leveren voor de aandrijfunit als laagspanningsstroom voor andere taken.<\/p>\n

De aandrijvingsaccu biedt ongeveer 7 keer zoveel laagspanningscapaciteit als een traditionele 12V-accu. Bovendien zorgt deze aanpak ervoor dat de auto onderhoudsvrijer wordt, aangezien de accu \u2013 in tegenstelling tot 12V-accu\u2019s \u2013 tijdens de levensduur van de auto niet hoeft te worden vervangen.<\/p>\n

Een volledig nieuwe voertuigarchitectuur<\/b><\/h4>\n

Het nieuwe accupakket maakt deel uit van een bredere herontwerp van de architectuur van Leapmotor, die de naam \u2018LEAP 5.0 New Mobile Space Architecture\u2019 heeft gekregen. Het is ontworpen om de binnenruimte te vergroten door het aantal gebruikte onderdelen te verminderen (zoals het weglaten van de aparte 12V-accu) en door een nieuwe indeling toe te passen.<\/p>\n

De nieuwe indeling omvat onder meer het verplaatsen van de motor naar de achterzijde, een betere integratie van de airconditioning, \u2018cell-to-chassis\u2019-technologie voor een lagere, volledig vlakke vloer en meer hoofdruimte, en een vernieuwd veersysteem. Dit zou moeten leiden tot 19% meer binnenruimte dan bij huidige voertuigen met vergelijkbare buitenafmetingen.<\/p>\n

Kom je naar Europa?<\/b><\/h4>\n

Stellantis heeft een belang van 21% in Leapmotor en 51% in Leapmotor International, dat de rechten bezit om auto\u2019s van Leapmotor buiten China te produceren en te verkopen. Het nieuwe platform zou daarom ook in Europa een grote impact kunnen hebben.<\/p>\n

Het merk zelf heeft grote ambities in Europa en zal zelfs bouwen <\/a><\/span>de B10<\/span> in Spanje<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>En bovendien<\/span>, Stellantis is <\/span>waarschijnlijk <\/span>met <\/span>de onderdelen van de B10 <\/span>ontwikkelen een toekomstige SUV van Opel in het C-segment<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het is echter onduidelijk of Europese auto\u2019s die op korte termijn op de markt komen, gebruik zullen maken van de nieuwe technologie. Gezien de timing van hun lancering en de introductie van de nieuwe technologie is dat zelfs onwaarschijnlijk. Maar op de lange termijn zou het de productie en het onderhoud kunnen vereenvoudigen, mits de technologie werkt zoals bedoeld.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
